This isn't gonna be right. What a dumb move. Money talks though I guess.

It's about years. NE was only going to offer him a 1 year deal. He wants to play forever.

I have 2 Bold Predictions.
1: Tom Brady waits until after the draft to sign with a team. Opting to make sure whichever team he signs with gives him the best chance for another ring.
2: The Indianapolis Colts doing their due diligence reach out to Tom Brady before offering Rivers a contract. Not expecting to be on the receiving end of a pitch, Ballard, Reich, and Irsay are floored when Tom Brady breaks down all he could do behind Indy's oline. While also selling Irsay on being able to beat Kraft and BB with their former QB on the way to another ring.
Added bonus Brady also feels he gets to stick it to Vrabel and the Titans, his preferred destination.

Its about legacy. Both Tom and Bill to an extent understand the narrative will be they needed each other unless 1 wins without the other.
They both feel they gave more than they received and both are betting on themselves to prove it.

CHI would be a good spot for Brady. Loaded talent on offense and a solid D.

Tampa Bay and the Chargers both have major drawbacks neither team can control.
If he signs with TB, he 1st has to worry about taking the division from Brees and the Saints. Then if they get to the playoffs as a division winner or wildcard, they have to play 1, 2, or 3 of NO, GB, SEA, and/or SF just to get to the SB. Thats rough for an old non mobile QB.
On the otherhand if he signs with LAC he has to worry about taking the division from Mahomes and the Chiefs. While also facing a Fangio defense twice. Then they have to go through teams like BAL, KC, and TEN/BUF to get to the SB.
The Colts on the other hand have an easier path to a division title. More consistent organization, and a young talented core.

Niners wouldn't sign him so he had to pick the uniform of his available options that has the most similar colors to us.

Heard he wants to control the offense and pick the players.

How is Tampa Bay better for him? I just don't get it. Also is there any truth to the rumor the 49ers were his first choice? Other than media speculation that is. What was it based on?

The fit is weird. Brady in a Arians offense isn´t something I would call a good match.
