The NFL fined Clowney for the hit against Files last year, so they should do at least that with the hit against Wentz.

Theyll fine him but wont suspend him. If a player should of been ejected and the foul was found to be confirmed, they should be suspended a game for the non ejection imo. Especially with the impact of Wentz's health now, he didnt remember anything that happened and was still swaying back and forth in concussion protocol. The NFL wants to make a point about player safety but wont do sh*t, as if fines actually matter to a guy like Clowney.

I doubt the NFL will suspend him, but realistically with all of the Eagles injuries, taking out Wentz eliminated any possibility of an Eagles win. Suspending him at least a game would be a good 'punishment fits the crime' scenario.

A supension wouldnt be inappropriate. He definately engaged the qb recklessly. Difficult to belive there was no game time reaction from the refs.

If he's not suspended the NFL should be embarrassed. I guess player safety is only really lip service after all.

Clear dirty hit, he should sit for at least one game if not the rest of the season.


NFL punishment is so inconsistent it's become a joke.
