Andrew Luck has retired from the NFL.

You can't call a man who has sacrificed his body for the game and for that city and team a quitter. Get your head out of your ass.

The Colts have known for 2 weeks this was a possibility, they weren't surprised by this and now he gets to travel the world with his wife. I'd day that's better than some stupid game.

Nitpick, but that loss to them was 2013, not 2014.

Read a bit closer I said the last playoff appearance during the Harbaugh era which was 2013. They did not make the playoffs in 2014.

Well what do you expect? Your starting QB right before the season starts announces his retirement.

If the dude can't go, he can't go. He doesn't need to clear his life decisions with the fanbase. He was probably working through a bunch of injuries and got fed up with being in pain 24/7 when financially he is already set for life. People should be grateful that he put his body on the line for so long.

Luck is a good dude and a smart man. He's been injured, he's been rehabbing, but watching him throw last year he didn't have zip. Just like Patrick Willis he probably realized he's not able to play at the level he expects and live with the pain. Plus he's been taking a beating there. It's not like they have a Patriots Oline protecting him.

In Philly they would of thrown beer and other things at him.

They had the best OL in football last year...

One year out of how many in his career?

Yeah but then look at all the years of beatings before that which clearly took their toll. The Colts drafted the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning and managed to ruin him completely.
Damn he f'd that franchise hard.

This. Lowlifes. Luck didn't choose to join a franchise with a garbage GM that let him get demolished for years on end.

maybe if he shy'd away from contact more he'd still be playing

Did you ever watch a Colt's game? The dude hardly had a line to protect him.

Not nearly as hard as they f**ked him.

By making them relevant during the span of his career? The fans booing him are a disgrace. He gave them everything.

Lol at shying away from contact when you regularly have three guys in the backfield right after the ball is snapped.
