Now reports of Williams saying he wouldn't go to Minnesota. We definitely have leverage but not a fan of trading more future picks for a possible one year rental.

Saw something on twitter saying the money he wants on a new deal wouldn't happen with the Niners. I'm beginning to think this is all smoke and the Niners just aren't gonna shoot anything down & neither will Staley on purpose until the draft is completely over to keep teams guessing.

Absolutely this. I can't fathom it. Especially since we had a shot at Wirfs. Staley would lose a lot of respect from the organization and fans if he decides to do this now imo

Yes I think you have nailed it. It would be more than strange for Lynch & Co to sign an OT who wants a $20m contract.

Eh. If he walks, he will get big money. And thst means the niners will get a good comp pick for the 2022 draft.
So the value may equal out to a 5th.
