Seems like Denver made him out to be Luc Longley. He has a bigger role here in SF.

How do you figure that?

I'd welcome him back for cheap, but we should also have his replacement ready as well.

I'd totally sign him for an incentive laden deal, and rotate him with Winters and Martin.

They wont keep all 3.
Don't think he would have made that post if he wasn't interested in coming back home

Why not? Winters and Martin are on rookie deals.

He wasn't a Michael Jordan or a Scottie Pippen for Denver. They wooed him away then gave him the boot just one year later.
Make it happen. Dre and Warner side by side. Shhhhheeeeshhhh

He couldn't stay healthy and they gave him a good chunk of change to go there and be the man.

Alex Singleton played better and stayed healthy...for less money.
If hes OK with taking a modest contract, sign him. Unlike Deebo wand WR position in general where washed guys still demand targets, LBs can rotate/play SAM if needed etc...plus LBs have been an issue and as far as heart goes, Dre was a big reason for these deep playoff runs.

He's still only 28. I think it's worth it for a 1 year deal with incentives.

I also don't see why they need to keep trying to develop Dee Winters. The D looked better when Bethune/Winters got hurt and Kendricks/Wallow played.

Nick Martin is an unknown.
This is a move that could/would really help our team. LB is a problem area that could be somewhat solved with Greenlaw.
