I really wanted him back. When he's healthy he absolutely elevates everyone on defense. One of those rare guys.
But.... Even before the Superbowl injury he sure does get roughed up a lot. I don't see him getting healthier as he ages. My heart wanted him back so bad but it may have been the right call not resigning him

Well we were going to pay him more, but luckily he chose Denver and we dodged a bullet lol...

Once a niner, always a niner... still helping us however he can

Dammit! This is now Navorro Bowman territory. Poor guy, he always seemed like an all-round good egg as well as a warrior on the field.

Some guys just seem to get hurt more often. Whether it's the way they play or the way they're built. Some people are just more fragile. Dre seems to be a little fragile which doesn't go well with the way he plays with abandon.

I feel terrible for Greenlaw. Anyone who is happy about this needs to take a hard look in the mirror.

Big Dre Fan. Funny how some are justifying a smart move we didn't sign him. I know we tried right after, but as you can see Dre's personality when he committed to Denver he wasn't backing out.
It's still a bad move we didn't sign him. Hopefully the new DL's/LB's we have will help not to miss Dre as much.
Not sure how bad his quad injury is but it's only May?

some bad reports out there:
An earlier report from NBC Sports erroneously claimed Greenlaw would be sidelined for a "substantial portion of the 2025 season" after tearing his quad -- a report that was "way off base," per Tomasson. "The Broncos began offseason drills last Monday. The source said no surgery is planned for Greenlaw, it is 'rehab only' for his injury. And that he is expected without question to be ready for the start of training camp in late July," he added.

I'm probably the only person that was ok with letting Greenlaw walk. Feel bad for the guy, especially now, but tearing your Achilles is a hell of an injury to come back from. And now his quad is torn. Not sure if they are linked to one another but man, I hope he heals quickly. Niners definitely got lucky on this one though.

Injuries are already part of our m o. We dodged a bullet so far, at least the first one.
Side note: I don't wish injuries on anyone and still love Dre, wish him a fast recovery.

Supposedly it's just a sprain and he'll be back in time for training camp.
