Question: Why doesn't he kick the ball through the endzone on kickoffs? With our defense, I don't want to give the other teams special teams a chance to make a play. Just curious if that's what he's being coached to do or if he does it on his own?

Because if you trust your special teams then starting at the 19 rather than the 25, which is most common, is better.
