It's the fault of the opposition putting in undersized receivers. Mitch has to bend too far to avoid bumping helmets. Plus he's an Aussie

That should stop putting little girls up against him.

The one stat that POPS out is the fact that hes punted 20 times and opposing kick returners only have a total of 2, yes, TWO return yards total.

Most impressive.

That's ridiculously good. Wow
A draft pick well spent I think.

Don't raise that chestnut. Some people will be triggered.

Those 3 and outs that are few and far between are killing his average lol.

That's why I said it! The pick was entirely justified imo.

Awesome point: of the 8 players taken in the 2019 draft, 2 are on our Injured Reserve list. One was claimed off waivers by another team. And the other 5 are all active players. Now that is what I call drafting!

There was nothing silly about this year's draft. The manager and coach are working together and are managing the whole crew of sub coaches, scouts, trainers etc and we are reaping the dividends this year. Funny thing is when Kyle and John got the role I was always confident this day would come. It was always just a matter of time, some around the zone are a little impatient but satisfaction isn't born from instant gratification.
Someone look up the last time a punter got a unsportsmanlike illegal hit penalty. Been watching football for 30+ years, I don't remember any on a punter.

Ain't mad at Wish when it happened lol He actually saved a TD the way the return was going.

Quantity doesn't equal quality. He's not the masaiah punter everyone promised with a 4th round pick

But you watch on TV and the first thing announcers say is his average is sub par. I don't think one, not ONE lousy announcer has noted his total returns come to 2 (TWO ) yards. NEVER have ever heard that from the announcers. I bet they don't even look at that kind of stat. What good is 45 yd average if the punts get returned 10-15 yds each kick??

One other thing....on Kickoffs, it appears WISH doesn't have enough leg to get the ball into the EZ. If you note, he will kick it exactly to the 1 yard line, forcing a return and often ball ends up well short of the 25. When kyle wants it in the EZ, WISH whistles it there. But those short kicks...just watch...they all land about the 1 yd line. Somehow he can kick it exactly that far whenever he wants. If kyle wants in EZ, ok, it goes there on those kicks.

But announcers have occasionally noted, "short of the EZ..that ball will be brot out." They have no idea that was exactly where WISH put it...nor why.

And those 5 are starters or contributors, Bosa, Deebo, Wish, Greenlaw, and Skule all contributing this season.

Net Avg takes returns into account. It's not good.

Bloody hell. The guys had done absolutely nothing wrong. Enlighten me who was your choice at that spot? I started a thread asking, I didn't see your answer of course.

Gross average is a useless way of judging a punter without looking at all the other stats in context. Punting would he a hell of a lot easier if the objective each time was just to kick the ball as far as you can, no matter if you outkick your coverage or how many times you might boom it into the endzone.

Stats like punts inside the 20 and return yards are far more important. The goal of a punter is field position. Half of Wish's punts(5th best) land inside the 20 with no return. So that's 10 out of 20 punts where our defense has had great field position.
