But thanks for ruining a quality thread about a guy who had 8 QB pressures, 3 TFL and a FF in 2 games playing only 50 snaps for us.

Well hey, at least you got the FF right

Crazy how widely ranging these official stats are in just 57 snaps. I had done a play-by-play breakdown a few pages back so this was my guesstimate at the time based on what I knew from his first game.

I reached out to Jeff Deeney personally from PFF...we had the same or near identical stats +/- 1 but if you look at a site like PFR, he only has 5 tackles, 1 QB hit and 1 FF. Laughable.

It reminded me of the old Derek "Cyclops" Smith stats. Something was off on his huge tackle numbers annually so I counted one day...dude was given credit for tackles if he was anywhere near the play; I'm guessing because he was a known player . It was ridiculous.

But you can use whatever you want.

So he had 8 pressures and 3 TFL as well? Because he works for PFF and they have 5 tackles, 1FF and 1 QB hit....which is in line, and actually more (minus the FF) than every other site (PFR is 2 tackles, 1FF, 0 QB hits and 0TFL btw). . That's up to the person making the call I guess, but I was more focused on the 8 pressures and 3 TFL...those are not accurate, namely the 3TFL . Do you by chance have Deeneys breakdown? Would love to see where he tallied the pressures and specifically the TFLs.

Yeah, it's weird unless you take a few minutes to watch the 23 snaps he had the first game and 34 this game.

Here's his exact quote:
Yeah that was a bummer he was a good story. 75.1 with 7 pressures the last two games...

And here's MOORE proof from the last game.

TY. Odd that the PFF guys are not on the same page with pressures (Unless they only counted those 5 pressures in GB game and had him as 0 vs. AZ, but Deeney comment sounded like he had 7 total for both games) I suppose it's subjective. What was his comments/breakdown on TFL, because while I can see the discrepancy in pressures, The TFLs are pretty cut and dry and I don't recall seeing him get any TFLs, nor did any of the other sites.

100%. I can't tell you how many times PFF has provided totally contradictory stats in the same week. Official stats are terrible too so it's hard to find reliable consistent stats even in this era. It's very frustrating.

We're talking about only 57 snaps here too. How hard is it to have 5 PFF employees all agree on what a tackle, assist, hit, pressure, sack and TFL is? You'd think basic stats like this would be incredibly consistent among all sites. Nope.

Anyway, have a good one. I hope Jeremiah Valoaga can produce similar production as Blair and Moore did.

You too
Why hasn't Moore been brought back yet? A minimum contract would get it done & he did pretty well before he got hurt last year.

He was a standout in pre season too. He has been nothing but good for the 49ers. I guess I assumed they had him under contract.

He's probably still recovering from his injury?

It was just a forearm crack or something.
Damn...saw the thread bumped and thought we re-signed him now lol.

Mods can we update the thread title to just his name for now?

Definitely would like him brought back. He played well as depth.

Me either.

If they don't then there must be a reason.

The #49ers did not ask the following unrestricted free agents to re-sign and no longer would count toward the team's compensatory formula:
WR Jordan Matthews
DE Damontre Moore
TE Garrett Celek (retired)
DT Earl Mitchell (retired)
LS Jon Condo (retired)

Why not Moore?
