Minus Ford, the chiefs just got literally run over by the colts, esp thru the holes made by costanza and Quentin Nelson. Just another reason why i am glad he is a 49er, and if he only plays during games, and no practice, so be it. The guy is just blue lightning once that ball is snapped and he is blitz fast plus has great moves, hands and strength. Alll were missing on the chiefs D tonite, and it made a huge difference in the game.

Yes, it was painfully obvious...I didn't mind, I was cheering for the underdog in that fight

Dude, if you told me our newly acquired second round pick had an inoperable chronic knee issue that would likely cut his career by more than half, I would be pissed.

Some of our 2nd rounders this decade: Taylor Mays, lemike james, tank carradine, tartt, trading up for josh Garnett, trading up for Reuben foster, Hyde, Vance mcdonald, Pettis.

Not making excuses and it sucks Ford has a chronic condition but sometimes you roll the dice on a proven player
I bet KC wishes they still had him and Houston after last night. Ford is worth every single penny we pay him. You have to be blind, or know nothing about football to think otherwise. Just try and remember last year when quarterbacks were catching up on their reading waiting for the receivers to break open while our defensive ends played pattycake with opposing tackles.
You guys are going to bang your head all week with Dee not practicing and then on Sunday(s) he will have a sack and a few QB pressure and you will be quiet for a few days and then it starts again....

Gonna be the same thing all yr

So what? I want him to be healthy enough to eat Brady alive. Lol

I'm completely fine with it...I don't care if he practices.

Hope Dee can live up to the off-season hype. So far he hasn't been great at all

Huh? 2 sacks and a FF in 3 games...not sure what you men he hasn't been great?

Dude only plays less half of the snaps. He's a good player but his health is a major concern.

If he's delegated to just pass rushing snaps, I could careless if he's playing 30-40 snaps a game. He's an elite pass rusher and if that preserves him I'm fine with it.

IMO he's a below avg run defender and we have guys who are better in those packages anyway.

Ford's job is to hit the QB.

I will be interested to see how much he ends up making this year per snap compared to other top paid edge rushers.

What a pointless stat.

If he puts up another season like he did last year (when his health was even worse), which he is on pace to do, and continues to impact games like he already has, I could give a sh!t about snap counts.

Y'all trying way too hard to paint in a negative light an acquisition who has been stellar for us so far.

lol.

Imagine trying to see "haters" wherever you look. What a pointless take. It is just a question. I didn't say he sucks, or that we shouldn't have traded for him. It is a stat I would be interested in seeing. That's it. Calm down.

He's very good and everyone is happy he is here. Chill out.

I think you'd have to throw in good pressure in there as well when looking snap to snap. If a DE is getting a free rush to the QB (saw Myles get a ton of those vs NY a couple weeks ago) I can't really count that as a "win"

either way it's an interesting stat. I agree with that.

Hopefully Clowney if he walks after one year with the Hags

lol complaining about Ford and his knee tendonitis yet, Clowney has had microfracture knee surgery and has been banged up plenty.

Clowney has 1 sack in 158 pass rush attempts, Ford has 2 in 63
I love this quote by Dee!

"Pick your poison," Ford said. "Either you want to step up and get hit or you want stay right there so I can take the ball. Pick your poison."

The superstar hiding in plain sight: DeForest Buckner dominates in anonymity
I know his snaps may be limited but he impacts the game when he's in there. That's all that counts. They way players are rotated now in the NFL depending on the situation there is a chance he wouldn't play every down even if he didn't have the knee problem. Few players are every down players anymore.
Dude just has to sprint 10 yards for about 20 plays per game, he's got this along with a pain killing injection
Ford and Bosa will both have 2 sacks tonight!

sorry,, but it is a on going concern when you are dealing with a injury like his.. like most say.. concerned but glad and hoping he can manage it and play every sunday. i think in some quarters. there is a rush to judgement to declare so many so called haters and dooms day people are over hyping his injury. i feel that is not case at with 98 per cent of the fans here. a few on one extreme end claim its no big deal. when in fact. it is a serious issue for him,,, and a few on the other end are a little to upset about it when in fact there is no one to blame
Maybe 49ers didn't trade for Dee Ford?
