We got from being historically bad with interceptions (2 in 16 games) to generating 5 in 3 games, everyone on the starting D-line is looking good, AA having a career year, etc. Dee Ford is absolutely a part of all of that. Anyone that can't see it at this point doesn't want to see it. I'm only hoping that Skule can hold up so we aren't forced to draft a tackle with our first round pick. I'm thinking another speed rusher would be appropriate. It's A LOT of picks for the D-line, but we see the results.

One of the few who seem to get it and appreciate the PRESENCE of Dee Ford. Thank you sir
Let me frame this another way:

If we used a second round pick on a rookie (I'll grant you, a rookie would be cheaper) who was missing a lot of practice due to chronic tendonitis (an inflammatory pain condition that does not affect joint stability) but who was impacting the game the way Ford already has, and who was on pace for double-digit sacks as part of a rotation that is probably the best in the NFL, playing mostly on clear passing downs, most of y'all would understandably be very happy with that selection.

How many of you would still be complaining that this second rounder is missing a lot of practice? How many of you would still be going out of your way to exaggerate the severity of his condition?

No one, hopefully. So why do it now?

What a pointless stat.

If he puts up another season like he did last year (when his health was even worse), which he is on pace to do, and continues to impact games like he already has, I could give a sh!t about snap counts.

Y'all trying way too hard to paint in a negative light an acquisition who has been stellar for us so far.

lol.

Imagine trying to see "haters" wherever you look. What a pointless take. It is just a question. I didn't say he sucks, or that we shouldn't have traded for him. It is a stat I would be interested in seeing. That's it. Calm down.

He's very good and everyone is happy he is here. Chill out.

A rookie doesnt cost 15 mil a year.

They cost me the same whether the team pays they $15m or $1.50 a year.

Another overlooked point. People talk as if this stuff is costing them money. I can see if someone wants to complain about the Malcolm Smith contract, which is now in the past, but the salary of a good player? Insatiable fan base....some of us.

The other thing with Dee Ford is that he has shown us the potential of what this defense can/should be . With all of these players with complementary skillsets (hoping Thomas can get in as the quick penetrating DT, almost like an interior Dee Ford), I hope it has given the FO, Kyle, and Saleh of what we need to go for in the future to maintain this high level of productivity for our D-line. Just one speed rusher in the draft will due next year :-) to replace one DT that should no longer be on the roster (no one in particular, but I hope it isn't AA).

Would you rather 5 mill or less a year for Cassius Marsh? We have a good player. You have to pay for good players. This player, in a limited role, has been really good. Honestly, even without the injury, I saw Ford as a 3rd down guy with Bosa/AA/Thomas getting the lion's share of snaps at end on run downs.

Its a lot of money for a limited role. But if he can play 14 15 games a year, then im fine with it.

What if he produced at the same rate? Meaning 2 sacks over 3 games with limited snaps would equal out to 10 or more per year, along with his pressure, etc. There are starters who wish they could do that with 40 to 50 snaps a game.

Dude, if you told me our newly acquired second round pick had an inoperable chronic knee issue that would likely cut his career by more than half, I would be pissed.
