Nope. For Bosa they can simply pick up his 5th year option and then franchise him if need be. They don't have to pay Bosa for another 2 years. the Niners are the one's who put here foots in their mouths saying they were ready to extend both guys this off season.

Did they say that tho? I thought it was more - we have accounted for the upcoming extensions of deebo and Bosa? That doesn't specify any time frame to me.

Coincidence ?

100% NOT a coincidence, those two and Metcalf have the same agency representing all them.

Pretty much. Both fanbases are already mad at him with the way this is being handled lol.

Half this forum is saying "f Deebo" and the other half is saying "f Lynch/Kyle"

Maybe we all should be saying "f Tory Dandy"
I'm just amazed about the certainty everyone has about the whole situation. People are certain he wants out. People are certain it's because we low balled him. People are certain it's because he's a p.o.s. diva that wants to dictate where he lives. Hasn't the Mac Jones draft debacle taught us anything?

He's refuted all of the reports up until now. And the people that are like just do a press conference are delusional. IF Deebo is the source/root of all the reports/controversy it is unprofessional. However, you don't do a press conference about on going negotiations. That's unprofessional as well. Any issues he has with potential contracts should be expressed to the organization not the media and definitely not the fans. Reality is we just don't know.

That's just to put some confidence, trust and assurance into their top players whose rookie contracts are coming close to the end. Did they expect one (or both) of them to be toxic entitled crybabies about it? No. And no one expected desperate teams to raise the WR pay scale up with all those huge ridiculous trades, imo KC and GB got ripped off trading away their proven pro bowl WR but the teams that took them over paid, it's all because they could not offer them the same due to the fact both teams have enormously over paid QBs who are in reality a detriment to their own teams hogging up most of their salary cap as compare to for example Brady who is the GOAT (or even Stafford who just won the SB, who is at #6 with 40M per year and Wilson at #8 at 35M per) but not playing simply for greed reasons. Hopefully Trey balls out and follow what Brady and other talented but lesser paid proven QBs in this league unlike Mr choke Rodgers, Mahomes and Watson or even Carr and Prescott (Cousins and Wilson getting paid the same per year is beyond laughable)..

Kind of like how you are accusing "everyone" of being certain.
I can't remember exactly when this started but players now get insulted if they aren't offered a new contract extension when they still have a full season left on the existing one. There's no reason that agents can't work with the front office during the season or wait until the season ends. I think teams started this because they were trying to prevent guys from hitting the free agent market. Now it's almost become necessary to prevent players from getting upset.

Not all players. Kittle and Warner being the most recent superstars that were in the same situation and didn't throw a fit like Deebo. Either way, most of this stuff is the media making s**t up. We've had multiple "professionals" tell us that we low balled him, one said we never offered anything yet, one said he wants to leave California, another said he doesn't want to be used as a wide back etc. until the chips fall we won't know anything that's actual information, just a bunch of wild assumptions. I still love Deebo and I hope they can keep him, but if not, the world continues to spin and the Niners>Deebo

And before anyone says "Metcalf isn't doing it"

...current salary cap in the NFL.

49ers know how to create cap space but there is obviously a move they can make quickly to clear up a bunch more. Here's hoping that's the trade we hear over draft weekend and then we get the Deebo deal done.

Jimmy's salary is an issue but it's not a huge one. The team can easily structure his salary where he won't get major money until 2023 where Jimmy is off the books one way or another. Many teams have done that when they're tight on cap space. Just like when we had a ton of cap space we signed FAs by front loading their contracts.

Davante Adams cap hit this year is under $9 million. It blows up to $30 million next year. Same thing happened with the big contracts to Mahomes and Josh Allen. Low salary % year they signed so they can get everyone else on board and then they blow up...which is why Chiefs had to move Hill cuz Mahomes is now finally hitting those big numbers in his deal. His cap hit was $7.5 mil last year, this year it's almost $36 mil.

But no question that agent is trying to push up their price and hoping he can get more money up front if he can help it so forcing a trade to teams who have more money to spend now would likely accomplish that.

Jimmy getting dumped is the first domino to a new 49er Era, aka Trey Era and hopefully it includes both deebo and bosa in it for the long haul.

There is a lot of truth that the real instigator is orchestrating things from the shadows and the media isn't talking much about Dandy. This scenario is nothing new for lawyer/agents of players and their behavior gets headlines to further grow their client list. Drew Rosenhaus in the NFL and Scott Boras in MLB have been doing this for decades to do whatever it takes to get more money. That's all they care about and that is all the Deebo/Brown/Metcalf situation is about. Money. Pure and simple.
Jimmy G and Deebo for Brian burns and 2 1st round picks. I want to keep deebo but he can't demand 25 per year for 1 amazing year.
