Risk here is if he doesn't get his deal or a trade he could go nuclear. We would be unable to do much of anything about that. Chance of this would be high imo.

I'm not. He's arguably the best football player in the NFL. And he's on our team. And we may let him walk

Nowhere near the best player in the league. Also, if he doesn't want to be used the way we have been, which I what made him this good, we lose that production anyway.

What?
He led the league in receiving yards before he was moved to the slash role.

What if our best offer is a 2nd rounder?

He had 1700 yards last season in total with 14 TD's, is 26 years old and who will still be cheap for 1 more year after an extension. We are getting much better offers than just a 2nd.

The point was what if we aren't getting good enough offers for him. Still just trade him just cause he's not happy? That's dumb business
How many players that have demanded a trade under this regime were actually traded?
I really don't think trading Deebo is the problem.

The problem is… can we truly maximize this draft capital we obtain for him?

I know I keep saying this but we could potentially get an all pro center and SS/corner.

But we might also draft a bust WR with our first rounder.

That's what I'm worried about.
best teams never pay big $ for RB/WR. lynch know it shanny know belichek know it. last years goal was to showcase deebo and grap for draft capital. it's been orchestrated by lynch all along. deebo just figured it out. he not too happy

Dude is about to come tumbling back down to earth. If we send him to a situation where he does not thrive he could be ass out. The team we trade him to does not have to give him a new contract and if he does not have a good year he will have to sign for a lot less then we are offering. Dude just bet on himself. Good luck

The team trading for him would be doing so knowing theyre paying him before he plays a game for them. Thats how these disgruntled player trades go down. The extension is a part of the trade

That's only if the player has a no trade clause. He can and will be traded with his rookie contract if the new team decides to pay him that is up to them. They could trade him and he could be in the same situation. He has no leverage were he goes

No its not only in no trade clause situations. Bottom line is a team isnt giving up a signifficant haul of picks for a player without a new contract in place.
T.O. Looked good the other day…

ShanaLynch with another drop. These two bozo's are absolutely terrible in the offseason. Good for Deebo, obviously he felt disrespected by the front office and decided to take his talents elsewhere. Maybe these two pompous jagoffs will learn their lesson... but I doubt it.

Oh well, hopefully we get some good picks.

Those two made him a superstar and they are the bad ones from this?

lmao

What did Lynch do to make him a Superstar? Deebo has worked his ass off his whole life. Shanahan drew up some plays to get him in space and he did the rest. They aren't the bad ones, but they tried to play hard ball with Deebo... he balked at their bs and now he wants out.

I'm glad athletes are seeing the business end of it and understanding the leverage they have.

Lol this is definitely the hot take of the year.

Deebo led the NFL in receiving yards prior to being pushed to RB duties.

That's how they can go, and do go for the most part , but that is not how it has to go. We can trade him and the team that gets him does not have to give him a new contract. The new team would be taking a risk but so is Debo. If he holds out his value goes down. He is maximizing his value right now,Just like the 49ers did with Jimmy. Definitely could backfire

It depends on what type of offense we are looking at going forward. In the Jimmy G hard run, quick throw in between the hashes offense, wide receiver isn't such a big deal. But if we are going to try to utilize Lance's natural arm talent, we might need to get us one.

...the 49ers have become a pretty desirable destination. Richard Sherman/Trent Williams, two HOFers, are good examples

Hahaha. What? No "free" agent chooses to come here except ST, RB or FB. Mid tier at best.

Traded? Yes? Pissed off at Seattle rehabbing a torn ACL with no agent? OK

But no meaningful free agent thinks this is a desirable destination even coming off two NFCCG's.

I hear you. I haven't paid any attention to round 1 since we had no picks.

Is any WR in the Chase territory??? If not then take the lineman/edge/ other star etc as you suggest. There are very good WR in the 2-5 range every draft.

None of his value comes from the slash role imo. No team would acquire him to use as an RB outside of maybe MIA. He's built, he's fluid, he's a threat for a house call every time he touches it and he plays nasty with a mean streak. Teams would scheme to get the ball in his hands as a wr. His value as a wr due to his age, athleticism, toughness and production is as high as it gets for an nfl wr right now.. imo.
