So why not offer him a 5 year deal worth $20 Million a year but make it fully guaranteed? So while he can not say he is the highest paid WR, He can say he is the only WR who's entire contract is fully guaranteed and has the most guaranteed money out of any WR. So while he can't make more than $100 Million, He also can't make less than that.

Cause he's on average missing about 4 games a season, and given how he's being used now, that is more likely to go up than down.

If they are worried about him getting injured than stop using him like that. It isn't right to make him the focal point of the offense and than refuse to pay him like one.

I love deebo but highest paid non-QB?! That's a little much, especially for someone who plays so violent. I hope we work something out but if not - we could get a hell of a trade package for him
Aggressively prudent in free agency. Prudently aggressive in contract negotiations.

Right. Kittle misses just as many games and nobody cared about his injuries.

He was injured before they ever started using him out of the backfield. That's not why he gets hurt. He plays like Kittle and runs so hard that injuries are just bound to happen.

I read the article from SI and they make a good point about Aiyuk. If Deebo gets paid big money won't Aiyuk expect the same if he has one big season. As they point out, he's more likely to be a downfield target for Lance and could easily become the number one target, especially if Deebo misses a few games.

If I am Deebo and they refuse to pay me like a multi-dimensional player than I refuse to play like a multi-dimensional player. Plain and simple.

That's a great team attitude. Players have to watch out for themselves but they also have to be willing to be part of the team. In this case that means playing all over the place if that's how they feel he is most effective. He played in 16 games last year with 15 starts. That's way more than 2020 and 2019 when he wasn't lining up in the backfield so there is no evidence that shows he will get injured by doing so. He's just as likely to get hurt running across the middle or fighting for yardage after the catch.

And the fact that Deebo is only in this position now because of how Kyle used him. Let's be real, Deebo is now on the map because of this.

Well things go both ways. Corporate America thinks that they own you and can treat you any which way they want. The truth is, they need us a lot more than we need them. Pay him what he is worth. Without star players, you have no business. Without workers, you have no product. Without jobs, you have no consumers. Wake up people!

The guy was asked to play multiple positions. One of those positions has a very short shelf life. It is known to have great wear and tear on the body. If you are already concerned about his durability but still continue to play him outside his position and use him as a battering ram and than refuse to pay him his worth than you are the problem, not him.

EDIT: So you believe fighting for extra yards against db's is the same as fighting through 300 lb defensive lineman?

Nope. Because the only reason he's a "gadget" is because he's ABLE to dominate defenses at every level and from every position.

That's why I actually agree with everyone saying he should be paid for what he brings to the offense. I simply said the team would not want to guarantee him that much. If it were me, instead, I'd pay him for what he gives, but build in protections for the team if he's unable to do it. Make him the highest paid non-QB in the NFL—IF he plays and continues to play like one.
More importantly, to execute Shanahan's vision of a "positionless offense," guys like Deebo are a necessity. Not just guys that can play two positions. But guys who can DOMINATE at two positions. Resigning Deebo is a must.

I agree with this.
Is $25m APY that much for Deebo?
