Still, though - he made himself an extra couple of million dollars.

Top RB market is $16M a yr, top WR is $27M, no way anyone gets $27M a yr, Hopkins was rare, even $22M for Julio is ridiculous, he aint worth it, but somewhere in the $18M-$20M a yr range is fair IMO.

They can't unless he plays more snaps at RB than WR, which isn't happening, plus he won't get tagged IMO, the 49ers have done the right thing with recent picks like Kittle & Warner, extend them before their last yr of their deal is up.

I can't believe this is even a discussion. Sometimes I wonder if some of the Zone even footballs.

I suspect we will be extending Deebo this offseason. I agree with you they did the right thing with Warner and Kittle. I can't wait until your breakdown of what options the team can do to keep the important people, shed the dead weight, as well as what hard pills we will have to swallow in terms of contracts. It's crazy how for so long we had tons of cap space and it got eaten up quickly. A lot of that was centered around we didn't have anyone that was worth extending/giving a big contract to. Now we have multiple players that are at or near the top of the class at their position.

And about drafting receivers, definitely more hits than misses now than before. I can easily see some person bringing up Pettis and Hurd.

Uh, no, you don't get rid of your studs, you get rid of the mid tier guys and replace them with guys on rookie contracts.

Once Jimmy and Dee Ford's cash is off the books we'll be a lot more flexible.

We need to sign Deebo before AJ Brown and DK Metcalf, the three of them will leapfrog each other.
