A buddy of mine was at the game and said early in the game, Deebo was WIDE OPEN for what would have been like a 70 yard touchdown if Jimmy looked his way. He didnt.

Its possible the read before him was open, so he never got to the point of looking at him. Your not going to progress to every read if the one before it is a good look, especially when you don't have a lot of time in the pocket.
Basically we need more context on this play then just "Deeboo was Wide Open on a play".

this dude is our Anquan Boldin, hopefully Hurd can be Larry Fitz. it looks that way on paper, Deebo is a bully and Hurd is a physical freak with speed, height and strength.

It's remarkable how fearless he is. Him coming back to the ball against 2 defenders for that TD is what this team has lacked from the Z since the 90's. If that was ANY other 9er receiver, that's an incomplete pass or an INT. Period. Garoppolo is building some real trust in him esp. in the slant.
