Right about what?

Trading DEEVAH while he had some value.
Unfortunately by trading him they're going to take a bigger cap hit which will limit their ability in free agency to some extent. If they get lucky and score with that 5th rounder then it will help ease the salary hit.

That's why Deebo wanted a trade, not only did we draft his replacement but Ricky has swag. First thing he did before stepping on the practice field with his whole life ahead of him was fight a guy with a gun at point blank over a watch when he's going to be making millions anyway. Got shot survived and kept his watch, came back showing up on the field. Deebo couldn't handle not being the #1 swag.

Ricky isn't special. He's a cog in an offense just like BA. Not a single team will gameplan him. Glad Deebo is gone though. Draft Oline, Dline lets goooooo

Wtf is wrong with people. Deebo legit carried this team and sacrificed his career longevity to do so.

we can simultaneously know change was needed but be grateful for everything he did for this organization.

very few players spend their entire career with one team.

Its their fault. They restructured his contract for no good reason.

Agreed. He carried the team on his back to the detriment of his career. Good thing our front office saw that and let him go without a hassle. It is what it is. Good luck Deebo

This might be one of the strangest takes ever. So deebo demanded a trade b/c his teamate has swag? The whole league has several players per team with swag
My feeling in watching Deebo since his breakout year has been...disappointment. He was a wrecking ball at times and then looked like he was pulling a plow at others. He rarely ran a decoy route with ANY enthusiasm at all...which is bad bad bad. I guess I feel like the time had arrived to cut bait.

The Niners have a good record with 5th round picks. We might just come out smelling like a rose.

2024: No 5th round pick
2023: Darrell Luter Jr. (CB, South Alabama), Robert Beal Jr. (EDGE, Georgia).
2022: Samuel Womack (CB, Toledo).
2021: Jaylon Moore (T, Western Michigan), Deommodore Lenoir (CB, Oregon), Talanoa Hufanga (S, USC).
2020: Colton McKivitz (T, West Virginia).
2019: Dre Greenlaw (LB, Arkansas).
2018: D.J. Reed (CB, Kansas State).
2017: George Kittle (TE, Iowa), Trent Taylor (WR, Louisiana Tech).
2016: Ronald Blair (DE, Appalachian State), John Theus (T, Georgia), Fahn Cooper (T, Ole Miss).
It's interesting how Deebo is being turned on now. Did you REALLY expect him to stick around for more years than he did with the way he played? When I saw him knock that DB's mouthpiece out, I thought to myself, "this boy ain't gonna be here long". His body has taken an absolute beating the time he has been here. And you can best believe he knows it, hence, the anger. It's caught up with him and I hope he doesn't stay around too long. Young man, enjoy your money. You have absolutely earned it

It might sound strange...but I think Since07 has something. Perhaps saying its because his teammate has swag is not quite right. I think it's because no matter what he did, Deebo was not going to outshine Ricky and his "not backing down from a gunman and then showing up on the practice field and being ready to go in weeks". I don't think Deebo's ego could take it.

It makes sense to trade him now

It didn't make sense to trade him the year before last - he helped get us to the Super Bowl

So "right this whole time" I can't agree.
