That video is from May 2024 though so I'm not sure what it proves. We all know he was in shape when the season started. But guys get out of shape as the season goes on. It happens all the time and in all sports because they aren't working out as hard or as regularly in the season. He did look good in the Miami game so it's not like he isn't still a good player but he needs extreme motivation. That Miami game came after everyone was calling for his head after the Rams debacle. He just can't consistently accelerate the way he used to. That combined with the offensive struggles from a play calling and execution standpoint led to a really down year for him. A fresh start will be good for both sides. I would welcome the draft capital since we have so many holes.
Did he look like he was like 240-250 at any point in the season? Come on man.
accelerating wasn't the main issue imo, there was horrible blocking going on all over the place. Our OL couldn't get to the second level, our WRs couldn't block to save their life. Yes Deebo ain't Deebo of 2021, he wasn't breaking 5 tackles at once all yr…Acting like a 29 yr old is just toast is wild imo.
a ton of teams could use Deebo. Dude would be a perfect fit for DC and what they do.
