Bump his targets to around 120 (which is what he got in 2021) and using his numbers from this year- he would have 993 yards and 75 catches. There's a few teams that are receiver poor that may take that. It's absolutely worth a 4th and maybe a 3rd if you are desperate. A poor receiver draft helps us even more.

That's bad. Even by the numbers bad. Your saying 120 targets over 17 games = 7 targets a game and he's catching 75/120 targets 4.5 catches a game to not even make up over 1k yards in a 17 game season.

Next I expect you to say give him more handoffs so he can average 3ypc or less.

It's a straight loss. You think teams are giving up a third round pick for a 29 year old receiver that takes plays off, runs bad routes, and has weak hands and poor hands. But he can average 3ypc as a running back.

3rd round picks are valuable. You got puni, Warner, cowing, Witherspoon, Borland, Bowman... All third round picks...

No way. I mean there's dumb teams in the NFL like the browns that can screw up every year but they'd have to be completely stupid...

yup. he went from all pro to roster cut. mm had this ridiculous theory that SF is saved by deebo asking for the trade. he thinks that's helps cover up the fact that deebo isn't wanted by the team. the reality is nfl film exists, and i'm pretty sure all 31 other clubs can see this guy getting clamped, loafing on routes, giving half effort and so forth.. so i don't see us getting much maybe a pick swap at best but likely nothing.

If a QB throws 40 passes which is a lot then that means it can be spread between 4-5 guys. Given the amount that they actually contribute in the typical game they shouldn't be paid more than a good RB who touches the ball more and is often called on to block big D linemen.

Having a really good WR in a passing league is pretty important. DBs are getting better, defensive lineman are even more ridiculously athletic and good offensive lineman are getting harder and harder to find.

You need a guy that can get open quickly and be reliable. You need guys that defenses have to game plan for. They help get other guys open.

a RBs shelf life isn't long and you can always find new talent later in drafts without spending big bucks. The Jefferson/Hill/Chase guys of the NFL aren't easy to replace.

Deebo might not be Deebo of 2021, but when you have a guy that can score any time he touches the ball that's a pretty valuable piece to an offense

I mean JJ had 113 targets and had 975 yards this yr. We all thought JJ was a stud.

scary Terry had 117 targets and 1,092 yards and everyone thought he was great this yr (he was).

3rd rd picks also netted SF and ton of horrible players all the same. I wouldn't say Pitt has knocked it out of the park with their 3rd rd picks as well.

Didn't Diontae johnson get moved Donte Jackson and swapped late rd picks? I'd do something like that.

DJ hadn't sniffed 1K receiving yards since 2021 and it took him 170 targets to get there. I actually think Deebo is more valuable than he is

Can he play basketball? Maybe we can trade him to the mavericks and fleece them.

I am in agreement pick swap or 6-7 rounder at best. 95% chance he's getting cut.

Would be funny if getting rid of Deebo actually unlocks Kyle's brain and the offense actually takes off in a big way. As good as Deebo has been for us Kyle has just been infatuated with him and recently it's bitten us in the ass more than it's helped us.

Agreed, the force feeding of Deebo has made for some craptastic football.

All that sounds good but look at how many teams with elite WRs never make the SB. Many can't even get into the playoffs. On the other hand, look at how much CMC helped the Niners in 2023. Look at Barkley in Philly this year or Hewnry in Baltimore. Henry mad Jackson better by taking some of the load off him.

Deebo isn't the treat he used to be. He only had 3 recieving TDs and 5 rushing TDs. His longest run was 13 yards.

Yeah it was pretty telegraphed towards the end. Everyone knew when he was in the backfield it was gonna be a run with him

How does the $5M signing bonus, due the end of March, effect the pre-June trade vs the post June cut ?
I assume the FO wouldn't want to pay that bonus.
