Exactly...that's why he's not getting traded.
most likely he won't and just another desperation tactics to get more years/cash

I agree wth you guys... it just does not make sense to trade him. It would have to be for next years draft after June 1st. If not, just cut him.

This is why retructuring contracts to make room for someone that wants big money isn't always a good idea. You can end up in a situation like this where a player can't be traded without that big dead cap hit. Finding room under the cap to keep a player isn't as easy as many fans think it is.

Exactly....TW got more millions....and did f**king nothing.

Make Deebo a camp cut. f**k him.

Agreed, Dude bust his ass for us and carried the team while playing RB. It's a huge reason his body is so broke down. I don't think many wr's would've dont that s**t even if they were capable. Trade the dude and both sides move on. I think a few teams would pay him 20 or more just not over 25. Broncos seem like a good fit. a ton of ppl here in DC want him on the Commanders

The only teams and fans that think he has value are the non niner fans. Anyone who actually watches the games saw him averaging under 3 yards a carry on handoffs and got like 600 yards receiving despite getting wr1-2 targets.

Basically he sucks now. Dudes worth like 3-6 million because you can shove him in as wr3-4 and punt returns. 20 million+ is just insanity

He doesn't even average 6 targets a game. Far from WR 1 numbers. Bump his targets to around 120 (which is what he got in 2021) and using his numbers from this year- he would have 993 yards and 75 catches. There's a few teams that are receiver poor that may take that. It's absolutely worth a 4th and maybe a 3rd if you are desperate. A poor receiver draft helps us even more.

Folks keep on saying how Deebo bust his body for us in 2021 playing the RB but honestly what else could he have done other than taking handoffs, sweeps and bubble screens? How is that different than D. Henry, Saquon or CMC running hard and doing the same for much less? It's not like he's the X receiver asked to then play both position at RB.

Basically that was his job and the team catered to his skillset and yes the number of touches were high but it also helped him earned him more money. To me he's a glorify RB with bad hands even for an RB with a poor attitude and poor effort when he doesn't have the ball.

If Deebo wanted more money and less wear perhaps watch his diet, learn routes, improve hands and read a book about leadership and study the English dictionary somewhat. He's released more podcasts than has TD this year.

I agree that busting your butt isn't a big deal. With the money these guys get paid that should be expected.

They were held captive from TW with no backup plan so not the same with Deebo. I say unless it's a number 3 or better I would not trade him until after June 1st. So no help this year. Otherwise yes, just cut him.

Yes....the injury narrative is overused and overstated.

They don't save money regardless. It's just if they want to eat it all now or spread it out. Sometimes getting that DM over with in one shot is better than dealing with it for a couple yrs.

imo if there's a trade worth looking at go ahead and do it…if there's nothing than cut him now and post it as a June 1st cut. Go let him find work elsewhere. No need to hold him hostage waiting for a future day 3 pick in June.

I'll always root for Deebo
So the report is he wants to play for the Steelers. What is it about the Steelers that all our WR's want to play there?? They can have both Deeva and BA imo.
Albright seems to think Pitt might have interest in Deebo as well.
LOL Steelers so Tomlin can massage his ego... Nah, send our boy to the Panthers/Browns/Jets.

If we're going to trade him, how about we just trade him to whoever offers the most?

Steelers aren't doing anything meaningful with or without Deebo anyway.
I think every trade possibility should start with our farm system.....errrrr Carolina lol
Teams need to get away from overpaying WRs. Teams always have 2 WRs and sometimes 3. TEs are popular targets. RBs get their share. If a QB throws 40 passes which is a lot then that means it can be spread between 4-5 guys. Given the amount that they actually contribute in the typical game they shouldn't be paid more than a good RB who touches the ball more and is often called on to block big D linemen.
