Deebo Samuel-WR-South Carolina

Deebo Samuel is a hell of a player. If he wants to leave or if the team wants to trade him so be it but I won't forget the fantastic matchs he had with the Niners. His game against the Seahawks two years ago in the PO was incredible.

Trading Kupp is a worst situation for any team getting him than for Deebo. Kupp's got cash left, he's older and actually more injury prone.

if people think Deebo is gonna fetch a day 3 pick. You can't expect Kupp to get anything meaningful. They aren't gonna get anything meaningful to use in a trade situation for Myles.

This draft isn't good for wr, the drafting track record for this team isn't good, no 2nd rd pick is coming into this system and seeing legit mins and last this team is trying to win a SB now. A WR group of JJ, Pearsall, BA missing for 4 games plus then most likely not being himself, Cowing and supposedly a 2nd rd wr makes this team have the worst wr group in their division alone

With Aiyuk unlikely to be available at the start of the season or even being much of a contributor at all this season it seems awfully thin to me.

But I agree the 2nd is way to rich to draft a WR this year they need to add a solid vet.

That's an extreme overpay especially since our 2nd is high this year. Wilson is going to want to get paid soon enough. I'd love to have him but we don't have room for another big 2nd contract WR on this team right now.

You're conflating your fan view of Deebo's value with what it will take for Shanahan to move on from his boy. He can always just do nothing. He's already taking the cap hit regardless.

There is truth to this. If we can't get nothing of value for him; it really doesn't make sense to release him. I think people are forgetting the restructure

Yes. For a run-first team and BA's contract and another WR they just drafted in the first, its the deepest position on the team.

What other position has as much depth ? Its not RBs. It's definitely not oline. Definitely not Dline, definitely not LBs if Dre leaves. They don't have a starting third corner. Safety is a big question mark after Mustapha.

This team needs to draft players who can start right away and potentially become stars or just solid starters. A WR in the second unless hes by far a BPA guy and an absolute steal is the wrong move for this team imo

The irony. They offered us the #10 for Deebo and a 2nd before the draft and everyone scoffed at it. They used that pick on Wilson and Drake Jackson ended up being the reason we don't make that trade.
