Totally agree, take accountability team captain

shanny doesn't hold guys to account. he's a good coach in some areas and this isn't one. deebo earlier was slapping teammates no problem. see that was a red flag there, and coach did nothing.

He too concerned on what to wear than playing on the field lol..
Give Me The Damn Ball!
i think when he says 'lock in' he means lock in that contract (then shut it down)
It is pretty obvious that Deebo is not the player he once was. You can see that on the handoffs and screens designed Deebo plays. As a WR, he struggles to create separation against man coverage. Which is a problem, and I believe our offenses biggest problem this season. He can still go off if teams are playing zone or you can somehow manage to get him the ball in space but teams are rarely trying to play us that way any more. As a contested ball catcher, even if he might have the skills for it, he doesn't have the body type. Your just begging for INTs if you tried forcing the ball to those alligator arms, which is probably why Purdy has been doing that less and less the more time he has spent with Deebo.

Even if Deebo was the same or close to the same player, his play style doesn't really fit with Purdy. Purdy's strength is his anticipation throws. You need WRs who run crisp consistent routes. You can see as time has gone on Purdy has just had less and less confidence in Deebo and instinctively looks elsewhere. The question isn't if Deebo has lost a step or is he living up to his contract. Now we should be asking is it a negative for the offense to even have him out on the field at this point.

Hes not wrong, Deebo should be targeted more. And with all the injuries Kittle was also not being targeted enough till Sunday.

Tyshun is averaging 6.0 touches per game this season. Last season it was 6.5. Are we really to believe that an extra touch every other game is the difference?

He's fat AF and not playing with urgency and passion like he used to. It's easy to see. And now he's blaming his QB and/or coach. Can't wait for his ass to be off the team.

Edit: Actually this only includes catches and carries. Last year he only had 6 kick returns, this year he has 11. So he's actually getting more touches per game this year lol.

Deebo two+ years ago was basically automatic when it came to breaking the first tackle. Didn't matter where he was on the field, he's going to break the first tackle almost every time. Last year it started becoming more 50/50 on broken tackles. This year, it's rare he breaks that first tackle. Last game he definitely had a bit of an awakening, I saw him play harder than he has in a while.

Imo, part of it is being complacent and part of it is also wear and tear. Wear and tear playing a strong factor as well, because he's not DK out there 6'4 230lb and built like a tank. He's 6ft on his best day, 210lbs, and he's not where close to a DK physique. Asking to him for all those years to take on LBs has it's tole.

Sure there's wear and tear. But this is an insane drop off, and the lack of effort is easy to see. He's likely more concerned with his new podcast and figuring out his pregame outfits.
I'm pretty done with Deebo. Dude has been a major disappointment this year and doesn't deserve the "C" on his chest. He has not been a leader this year, and is now pointing fingers.

Look, I know it's not been all bad. But he's been infuriating to watch at times. If he's not dropping the ball, he's cutting right into the defender, or spending so much time dancing around after getting the ball that he never goes anywhere and prevents us from getting first downs. I don't question his desire for the game or to make plays, but his attitude has come off something awful this year, and the astonishing lack of accountability is totally unacceptable for someone who wears the captain patch.

Warner, Purdy, Juice, Kittle -- they all lead by example and hold themselves accountable. Plenty of other non-captains on this team do the same. Samuel refuses to acknowledge any mistakes and now is pointing fingers? Ridiculous.
