There were plenty of people questioning the usage of that last year. Made even less sense this year when we have actual good RBs.

Deebo is the most violent offensive player in the nfl, it's how he plays, to blame Kyle on his injuries is just absurd

All that draft capital Invested on RBs only to take the most productive player on the team from 2021 and put him In harms way like that. Totally unnecessary and Inexcusable

We have McCaffrey, Mason and even Juice for that.

It was not about him running the ball. It is the mismatched it creates when he lines up at the back field. It is only a mismatch and creates problem for the defense when he actually get the carry some of the time. It is like if you pass 100% of the time play action doesn't work. If you run 100% of the time draw play doesn't work.

Yes we have CMC, but it is odd to say if there is high injury risk in running the football let's get CMC injured rather than Deebo.

He looked pretty through the first part of last season when used primarily as a receiver ( lead the league In rec yards at one point I believe )

Sure he can do both, but at what cost? I'd rather see him making plays down field as a receiver, than get crushed at the LoS by all those big bodies.

Fwiw, Deebo has always been special. ( See 2019 )

I'll give you that, when it comes to running Trey like he's a FB. And I'll give you that when he's try to battering ram CMC in at the goal line, instead of Mason. But running Deebo on "Deebo plays", that he is built for, AND got paid for - I can't see a complaint there. It was a call to the outside, that Deebo cut inside on. Can't blame that on Kyle.

you cant fault the coach for calling a play for your playmaker. Deebo cut back in and got hit. if you look at the play if he follow kittle to left he got more room.
