Always top notch information.

Tick tock. Are we going to have a hold-in?

I don't think a true holdout, he may not practice, he may do what he did at minicamp, and I don't blame him, or Nick if they did that. But no holdout.

Deebo takes unnecessary punishment due to him being asking to do too much by Kyle.

Kittle takes too much punishment due to JG hanging him out to dry on those hospital throws.

Either way, that should change this season with a new QB at the helm ( good for Kittle ) and Deebo will mostly likely be utilised more as a receiver ( good for his health ).

Overall, this offense should be fun to watch this season with all the take we have. We just need to hope everyone stays healthy. Fingers crossed.

8 carries up the middle in an entire season isn't asking too much but if Deebo thinks it is (we don't really know ) then it's easy to just use him on the sweeps. Most receivers with any kind of speed are asked to do that. He takes way more punishment when he's breaking tackles and banging off of players than he does on 8 carries up the middle. It certainly isn't a big enough issue by itself to keep the 2 sides from reaching an agreement.

no need to panic on hold outs

Kittle signed 8/15
Warner signed 7/21

I know yeah. I'm referring to him running and catching passes behind the LoS, all those tackles he's having to break just to pickup a chunk yardage. That should change to some extent, now that we have a QB who can actually launch the ball down field ( less punishment ) hopefully that bolds well for Deebo's and Kittles health for the rest of their career moving forward.

Cowherd was defending Deebo this morning saying that he doesn't blame him for not wanting to line up in the backfield because he takes a beating and it could shorten his career. Perfect example of a radio show host taking a talking point and running with it without looking at the facts.

I checked and Deebo lined up in the backfield 50 times. He only had 8 carries up the middle. Te rest were either around the left or right end so they were no more than a fly sweep. If he really felt that those 8 carries were going to shorten is career I'm sure he could convince Kyle not to run him into the middle.

Most real 49er fans know that Deebo and Kittle both get beat up because of the hard way they run. It has nothing to do with the play calling. When you consistently fight for extra yards you take more hits. Not too hard to figure out.

On those sweeps he's getting hit by defensive ends, linebackers and safeties.

He's not a RB and carrying 50 times per season, if your stat is correct, will for sure shorten his WR career. If they want him to do both jobs, they need to pay him for that.

Lol, yeah - the refreshing is getting tiresome.
Deebo became a superstar by being a dual role player and if he doesn't want to do RB anymore then fine, but then we don't pay him like the superstar he thinks he is. He gets a contract that's commensurate to his WR skills which are good, but not elite or at least to date.

Well he did superstar wide receiver things like leading the league in YPC and 1400 yards while missing almost 3 games (the time he was held out in games and missed time/plays).

Also, before becoming essentially a RB, he was only behind Kupp in YPG and that's with WAY LESS TARGETS, with a worse qb. You could easily argue Deebo is a better wr by a decent margin. He didn't have the targets or qbs that Adams, Hill or Kupp had.

Hopefully, something happens with Deebo and Nick before Tuesday.

Maybe Deebo but since Bosa is scheduled to make a lot of money next year (without an extension this off-season) it's not an urgent matter for him or our FO. I wouldn't count on an extension this year.

Yeah, we can wait a year on Bosa.
