Aaron Rodgers, QB, NY Jets

In the grand scheme of things, it's not. But its cheaper to have turf when switching events, going from football games to concerts...etc. in this case the Jets owner screwed himself over because a Jets team making a playoff run with Rodgers at QB was going to be an a massive cash draw.

on this point, it is hard to say definitively that the turf caused this specific injury. i got some JG vibes when he had a Dolphin on his back. he was in the grasp of Floyd and tried to stay upright that's an unnatural amount of weight on the ankle, heel, foot, etc. bad luck play, but I can't say for sure the turf is the culprit. sometimes having a 250lb dude on your back as an older vet QB is a problem

Rodgers thought he had those quick legs still.. he should have just done the old P Manning move and just drop

Well said, the NFL needs to step in and make all teams have grass or if turf is needed NFL can force them to install what they want not what the teams want.

"The NFL" is the owners and too many of them are cheap jack wagons. They are switching several of the stadiums up to real grass for the World Cup so it clearly can be done, they just don't want to.

Imagine if the players had a union that wasn't complete b******t. This would have been a crucial issue to address in collective bargaining, maybe even go on strike over.
"I want to make it very clear, Zach's our quarterback," Saleh said. "We have a lot of faith in Zach. We're rolling with Zach and excited for him."
Saleh said the Jets will look into quarterbacks to add to the team, but not one who would challenge Wilson for the starting job.
"Under no circumstances is any of this a competition," Saleh said. "This is Zach's team and we're rolling with Zach."

Above is from Saleh, I like Saleh. This is how the NFL works imo. You go thru an entire an entire offseason to get your squad ready. This is the squad, and Wilson goes from QB2 to QB1. I do think they should bring Flacco in who was on last years team, as the new QB2.

they should have just developed Zach attack and saved those picks

That's cool that Saleh is taking Zach back like that. But when they drop the next 2 games and then Brady shows up it's gonna be a different story
24 years ago , Jets were considered SB contenders (top 4 team ) and on THIS day Vinny Testaverde ruptured his Achilles
And like clockwork a NFL exec comes out defending turf says injury stats don't back it up. Yet every player says it's horrible. I forgot what podcast it was maybe new heights but they said they feel it in their knees the day after playing on turf rather than grass.

I do like grass. If fans can maintain a lawn, a multi billion NFL franchise, should be able to pull it off

And why is it when soccer comes they agree to put in grass even though they have less physical contact with one another……..

Right! For the world cup all stadiums are required to have grass including metlife Stadium
This was the same turf that claimed all those injuries a couple years ago right?

You knew when he just threw the ball at the other dudes butt it was over. It was the football version of "F********** crap"
He should hang em up.

It has been a pleasure knocking him out of the playoffs repeatedly.
