Yep. The Rams are our rival. Giants and Cowboys are our secondary rivals (and to an extent the Packers). The Seahawks are no more our rivals than our than the Cardinals are.
Then why did it feel so good to beat them yesterday in the midst of their hunt for the playoffs?
For me its because I hate their fans. Not so much that it was our rival. Beating any team that has dominated us for an extended period of time, while hurting their playoff hopes will make me feel amazing after leaving the park.
This, EXACTLY!. The Seaturds have owned the 49ers since 2013, I have been living here in the Seattle area since 2007, since 2012 they have become more and more insufferable. IMO, if we get #1 pick we are not taking Bosa or any other single player, management will parlay it into multiple picks and rightly so. The real positive of this season is we have had the opportunity to see and evaluate many players that we would not have otherwise seen in actual NFL game. If by the next draft Lynch and Shany can't figure out what we need and find a way to get them and put a well rounded, competitive team together then we have much bigger problems than loosing a #1 draft pick.
Personally as a fan of this team since the early 70's, yesterday was one of the best wins I have had the pleasure to watch.
