Losing homefield advantage, stumbling into the playoffs, getting worked in back to back games, probably not what most would define as "pretty damn good."

Second seed in the NFC? pretty sure most would say pretty damn good. Oh to good enough to "stumble" into the playoffs... sigh

Losing two games straight in December, Chicago now one game behind for the second seed. Yeah, that is a disappointment for a team that went all in this offseason.

You really believe this team is going to beat Seattle?
The 49ers, with Jim Harbaugh, Vic Fangio, the Smith Brothers, Kap at his best, Vernon Davis, Frank Gore, etc went 4-5 against the Seahawks, but this incarnation of the 49ers is going to beat them? Idk if this is real or if you are just trying to not set yourself up for a let down.

Yup. They were projected SB darlings before the season kicked off...not anymore. Many have jumped off that bandwagon when Saints slapped them around and Mahomes was lighting it up. Anything less than a trip to the big dance will be a huge disappointment. They over spent and it's not panning out. McVay isn't handling the late season run very well and more than likely, he'll get beat before or in the NFCC.
Originally posted by KID9R:Lol this "all in" and "over spent" narrative is hilarious. It's just crap that haters and people that don't understand what they're doing say. They're just trying to assemble the most talent possible every season, like all teams. They're just being smarter about while taking advantage of having their QB on a rookie contract. They're not "selling out" for the future at all. Because they're smartly trading for high upside players and only singing cut players like Suh and Talib so they'll still get the maximum compensatory picks if they chose not re-sign them. So they'll end up re-signing a select base of superstars while being able supplement their roster with a surplus of cheaper draft picks. With having one of the best GMs picking those players. It's pretty pathetic when we're trying to bash the Rams because they lost 2 games in row for the first time in 2 years and we just won our 4th lol

Talib is a high upside player?![]()
The reality is that they have like 3 or 4 picks in the next draft, no 2nd or 3rd rounder and Goff will be due a huge money investment next year.
They made a HUGE investment into their defense, draft pick and $ wise, they went all in to try to build a juggernaut of a defense and the result is the 18th ranked defense in football.
