Breesus' haters rejoice. You finally received some measure of recompense.

I don't root for a guy to get hurt but...
Street put a serious hurt on Brees. Goodell will probably ban him for a year and fine the 49ers a draft pick.

A rule will be changed at the very least. Can't land on a qb period.

When are we going to find out how much Street is fined for his legal hit?

Not a lot Street could do there to make it easier on Brees. Street tackles him while falling to the side of him - not directly on top of him. Could he have more gently "laid" Brees on the ground? I don't see how considering Street is coming full bore and he wants to make sure Brees goes down. Maybe he could just bear hug Brees and keep holding him up until the whistle blows? That sounds ridiculous - this is football.
Two things that worry me going forward: 1) On a sack such as Street's here, the tackler is going to try so hard to not hurt the QB that the tackler is actually going to end up getting badly injured himself; 2) In making the effort to "lay a QB down easy" on a sack, a strong slippery QB like Wilson is going to break out of the sack and scramble for a key 1st Down that turns the game.
As a football fan, I don't ever want to see either of the above scenarios happen but with rulings such as on Street's sack, we're going down that path.

Suspension? I'm expecting a ban for life. Street hurt one of Goodell's kids.

Gotta laugh when some Saint fans on Reddit are saying the 49ers are a dirty team. Like what u talkin bout. The Ward hit was pretty f**ked I'll get em that. But they are saying it about the Street hit. To their credit there are fans saying naw it was a legal hit but it did rough the QB up

If NFL wants to call this a foul to protect the QB then whenever a defender gets an arm around a QB it should immediately end the play in a sack.
We will see how quickly QB change their tune.

Outside of the ward hit, all the dirty s**t came from NO. Not a big shocker there
