Maybe he was just playing with one leg the past two years?

2020 was a weird year for everyone and covid. I know he talked about mental stuff and was/is seeing a sports therapist since then. Sounds like he was hurt more than people thought.

I don't ever see him being an elite pass-blocker. He's still gotta work on finding proper set points and striking on time. That s**t is mental. We will see how it goes this year. Overall my only "real" concern on the OL is center.

There's always a good excuse for underperforming players.

All those clips are from his rookie year. He's been s**t ever since.

The worst of them all.

s**ts a bit harsh. Underperformed yes. But s**t is reserved for the truly bad linemen like Joshua Garnett

He's a 9th overall pick. He should be held to a higher standard.
Contract year coming up…

Yeah underperforming for his draft status. But his run blocking is above par and as a run first team it is beneficial. Garnett was never beneficial. I do agree he should be held to a higher standard and that's why I am pretty negative about McGlinchey. If he was a 4th round pick I wouldn't say s**t about his performance.

Agree.

Above-average run-blocking skills can be found in 4th or 5th rounders. I expect a pass-protection beast from the 9th overall pick.

Or an explanation. I'm not saying he's an elite RT he's just not as bad as some of you think. I mean I don't even know why I'm having a convo with you about it….you s**t on everything SF. Not much to talk about with that mentality.
