I wonder if the Falcons would trade Julio for this guy...

That's not Joe Montana.

But seriously, he doesn't look big enough to play RT in the league. Maybe the rookie Moore will start?

Not big enough? who McG? dude is 6-8 310. Some of the best OTs in the league are the same size. (Johsnon/Lewan/Schwartz/Bakhtiari/Conklin)
After the draft i questioned drafting two OL, but it does give them future flexibility (position and financial). Let's say they pay Warner and decide to save on OL. So McGlinchey and Tomlinson are out. The post-2022 line could be Williams-Banks-Mack-Moore-Brunskill or Williams-Banks-Mack-Brunskill-Moore (assuming they resign Brunskill). The big question mark is how long can Mack play and whether Skule and/or McKivitz can develop to be effective spot starters.

So you're talking about 2023, right? That's a long time in the NFL. Personelly I don't see them moving on from Tomlinson dude is a solid LG that doesn't miss games. He isn't gonna cost this team a ton of cash either. We got McG for two more seasons and at that point he might become more consistent with a better RG next to him (and better QB play) or IMO they will draft a OT early.

The cap is gonna go through the roof by 2023 and we got a QB on a rookie contract, I think they will be fine cap wise

Yeah, the key is real competition. If McGlinchey starts getting pancaked again by a DB in PP and Kyle's pride starts taking big hits, MM can have real competition with Moore/Brunskill. But because of his cost, Kyle will most likely ride-n-die with him.

Yeah competition is always good. I do expect his PP to improve this yr. I expect Mack will help with PP calls, we won't have joe blow at RG and yes the QB talent overall will be better.

arrow up!
I rea d somewhere that McGlinchey was lighter last year and at one point was down to about 300. That's about 15-20 lbs less than he played at during the previous season. It will be interesting to see if he put some of that weight back on.

This last season has really worn on Jimmy G. He has visibly aged

Me too!
Since nicknames are being added I say Mike "Turnstile" McGlinchey works for now. Maybe he can improve his nickname over time?
