Trading him when he is only a cap hit of 6 mil this year seems pre-mature. Especially considering it would significantly thin out an already questionable offensive line. Even if they were hoping to upgrade/replace him this year. I would still want him on the roster. I think it would need to be at least second-rounder to make me want to trade him right now.

He's a good RT when our running game is working. When we have to pass more cause we are behind or the defense is not scared of our weak QBs and they stack against the run he becomes s**t. This isn't a new development for him it just got exposed more this year cause teams new how to attack our offense.

Tomlinson, ironically, is the same exact player. He just eats better. You're right.

Put him on a KFC and pizza diet. That'll fatten him up.

You're gonna be bummed when it's Colton McKivitz starting at RT week 1 lol.

imo they would have to get real compensation to move him...just create another hole they have to fill. It's not like they save much cash at all.

Give us a 5th round pick and I will personally drive him there.

he's worth more than that...you seem to not understand how bad OTs are overall in the league. He's the best run-blocking tackle in football. Toss him next to nelson in INDY and you're in business.

yeah people are ridiculously undervaluing McGlinchey in this thread today. show's how uninformed the fanbase really is.
Nice reunion with Quentin Nelson.

Dude they loved Colton McKivitz coming out of the draft...kyle said if they didn't land Trent he was their plan at LT. Got the gold helmet stamp from peters/lynch during the draft process.

"One thing that was really cool was that, if the Washington thing didn't go through, one of our Plan Bs was to try to draft Colton (McKivitz) there in the fourth round," Shanahan explained. "And then we made that risk to [trade that pick] to go up to get the receiver (Brandon Aiyuk in the first round) that we wanted.

"And then we did end up getting Trent. And to still be able to get [McKivitz] in the fifth round was a hell of a deal. We felt really excited about how today went."

He's been here for 3 years. If he hasn't been fixed within that time, then he will never get fixed here.

They have a great O line coach and holding was called far less this last year and that was the worst part about Bolles. He was constantly getting flagged on 3rd downs for drive killing third down holds.
