2 of the plays that he whiffed the D didn't do anything with it nor did it affect the run so all good.

He's not gonna be perfect but pass pro is strong early IMO which is great to see for all those worried over the loss of Brown.

If you are making a statement like this, I would expect a number of plays strung together to prove the assertion. Hard to know with one play.

I guess I have a hard time when someone pulls one clip of a player not dominating his guy and qualifying an entire half's performance. I understand some of these twitter guys need to get stuff out there to satisfy followers but some of this stuff is just too nitpicky and pulls too many things out of context.

I know when I do my film breakdowns I dont start cutting up any plays until I have watched the entirety of the game film and usually have watched most plays 3-4 times so that you get a firm understanding of where the problems were and which were consistent.

Every player is going to have a bad play or two in a game - it's just the way it is. I could pull up clips of Staley missing blocks, getting blown back in PP or false starting. No player ever has a perfect game. The question is - how consistent are they and how consistently good?

One of my frustrations during Harbaugh's last year was that it wasn't one or two or 3 guys who were consistently messing up, it would be almost every player on different plays and so there was no simple solution. you had each guy messing up 4-5 times a game.

Last year you could easily see that QB was a weak spot for a good bit of the season. You could easily see D. Johnson was a weak spot. You could see these things because they were apparent on film over and over again. Not just one bad play here or there but you could see a bunch of plays throughout a game. It was consistent.

What I've seen of McG so far is pretty darn good. If our RT, "doesn't look very good" yet our RB can get over almost 5 YPC and look like Morris did in that game - that's not too bad at all.
