Between the money wasted on him, malcolm Smith and jimmy that should be enough f**k ups to cost shannylynch their jobs.
Can't defend the Malcolm Smith move all that much, but how do a bunch of injuries cost them their jobs?
You can also add piere garcon to that list. As well as the poor drafts. It's so bad
Sh!tton of money thrown away over the years on scrubs like AA, Ward, M.Smith, Garcon, Garnett, Mabin, Gilliam, Coleman...endless list here. Nobody talks about that but with a few better business moves, this team would have a gazillion dollars in cap space vs. being in the red next year. Lots of dead money.
Depending on how the other backs play, Jet may be a cut next year. Save $4.8M in cap room.
Juice is another potential cap saving cut next year, so is Goodwin. $9.4M between them.
Greenlaw and Al-Shaair replace Mayo and Nzeocha save $1.2M.
It's not pretty right now but there is a lot of water to go over the dam between now and next year.
NC I disagree with your statement of wasted money, we're not the only team to waste money, in fact every team does it every year, each team wastes money on FAs, or extensions, we're not the exception, or the only one to do so.
I don't see how AA and Garnett are wasted money when they are on rookie deals, yes AA is on his 5th yr, but he looked good last year and so far in preseason
Garcon was overpaid, but played well the first 8 games, sad about the neck injury but oh well.
Smith was a waste of money I agree.
Shon Coleman was a freak accident, he had a fellow 300lb OL fall on him, nothing he could do about it.
Gilliam was 1 yr, and didn't hurt us cap wise.
Mabin? Come on man, he made the minimum each year.
As for 2020, we'll be fine, I said before we can save over $18M by restructuring Jimmy G's deal.
I don't see Juice or Goodwin as cuts, Mayo and Nzeocha yes.
