Why would he restructure his contract? Dude might not ever get a contract again. We can't cut him because he's getting his money regardless this yr anyway.

Is what it is, I totally got the signing and what he brought to the team scheme wise. Bad luck for the ACL.

I know McKinnon will turn down for 2.5 millions a year contract cuz he want more moneys for 7 millions. He was not injury from Viking?! Then how did he injury suddenly from 49ers training camp for last year?! Impossible. I believe that he is advangted $$$ when he didnt play for last year.

That's all depending on talent level as well. I like wilson but a healthy jet was a reason to keep 4, wilson imo is not.

He probably goes back to the PS.

Possibly. It could go either way. I do think you're right in that it's less likely that Wilson gets picked up by another team if cut then say one of the bubble-roster WR/DL guys.

He never would, plus he has another $2.6M GTD in 2020 for injury, if cut now we lose that $2.6M in 2020.
I am happy that we have Breida. He is doing great career our team.

I don't know what you're trying to imply (my guess is English is not your first language, perhaps?), but McKinnon was healthy when he signed with the 49ers in Spring 2018. In his time with the Vikings he missed one game in 2016 with an ankle sprain. He was also never injured in four seasons in college. He was the very definition of a player NOT injury prone.

What are you talking about? A injury can happen to anyone regardless of past injuries.

No Mckinnon never had a ACL or was injured when we signed him. You do understand players (especially in SF) make more money when they actually play.

I have no idea what you're trying to complain about. We paid a healthy RB to play in SF, he then tore his ACL in practice and hasn't played. It sucks BUT it's football. It happens. There's nothing deeper to find.

I've already said it before I didn't think he would make it back. I think he is done. Just remember not all ACL case makes it back and when you have so many setbacks the chances are football is over for McKinnon.

ACL injuries still can be a death blow to an athletes career, even with modern medicine.

Especially when you have cheap York medical staff that he bought from kmart

Oh, I don't think he will either...It doesn't change the fact that dumping him now is dumb though. It's the difference between a long shot lottery ticket and lighting a wad of cash on fire.

How do you or anyone else decide he's forcing himself to start the season? I'm sure he and the medical/training staff have done the best they possibly could to follow proper rehab and recovery program for him. All ACL tears are not as simple or equal to each other. I feel rotten for the guy but glad he got the guaranteed money he did, at least. Not saying you but anyone blaming the organization or McKinnon himself for this are complete morons. People constantly forget this stat: the average career span of an NFL player is 3 1/2 years, period. These guys should get as much money as they can whenever and however possible.
