He'll get MRs and plain films in the coming days/hours. These distal bone injuries always look worse than they are (like Caris LeVert just had) and if that knee isn't damaged I think he'll be fine...of course remains to be seen for sure.

He'll recover but won't be able to move like he used to. Medical tech is well advanced beyond what it was 33 years ago.

Sad stuff. He was having a good season. And gelling with the teams style pretty well.

McCoy might look ok right now. But I doubt he'll play as well as Smith when teams start game planning for him.

Yeah, true backups can be good or serviceable short term, but can't do it for the year. Girls will get in the playoffs now. f**k.
