4 to's, 2 missed fg's. Wsh's strategy of punting and letting TB hand them the game was marvelous.

Yup, and low turnovers by the skins. That style is working so far but if they make the playoffs they aren't winning a game

Fitzpatrick threw for 400 yards and they scored 3 points.

I got a soft spot for fitz. Dude got balls, he takes hella risks... even though his arm isn't strong. His teammates always respect him

Dude me too. Gotta love him playing like Favre even though he has the arm of Hasselbeck. Way more respect for him than Alex.

I got respect for both. It was cool hearing that Mahomes' dad has the upmost respect for smith and feels indebted to him. Because Alex had integrity to help Mahomes instead of being insecure about it. Like he was with Kap. Dude has character and remains the same regardless of outside noise. That kinda s**t contributes to a winning culture
And their day just got sweeter. Up 2 games now with Philly going to NO next week. They beat Hou and they might wrap things up by Thanksgiving.

Oh yea, he needed to be corrected on that one also. Alex had pre achilles Crab, pre acl Manningham, prime Vernon, Delanie Walker, Gore. If you don't use loaded teams the way you should, you're getting tossed. Happened to Alex twice now.

You're wrong. Manningham suffered a season-ending injury at Seattle. He was available the whole time Alex played, but his numbers in terms of yardage and ypc weren't all that great to begin with.

You're right about Manningham. I was confusing Manningham with Morgan who went down the previous year against the Bucs. It's been a minute.

Not the best game by Alex. I'll admit defense helped out big time this week. Hopefully Alex can do better going forward. I enjoy rooting against the Saints, Rams, and Packers so I'll have fun likely getting a chance to root for whoever they face in the playoffs (not sure if Green Bay will make it though).

FULL DISCLOSURE TIME: I picked Tampa Bay to win the game. I was not convinced that Washington could overcome all the injuries on offense and score enough points to the beat the Bucs whose team total YPG is #1 in the league! (yes, that is correct. Bucs = 452. Rams = 448. Chiefs = 423)

Of course I also didn't expect the Bucs to lose two fumbles and Fitz to throw two picks. However, when you don't throw interceptions or give away fumbles, you win the game 78% of the time.

Yes, the defense came through, if you consider "limiting" the opponent to 501 yards , however, Smith and the rest of the offensive skill players helped out the defense by not turning the ball over. That's how you win games.

He could have great efficiency stats too if he just checked down and took the easy way out 90% of the time, but his defense doesn't allow him, nor do I think he'd ever stoop to that level.

I got a lot more respect for the guy that goes out there and flings it even though he doesn't have the physical ability, over the guy that plays scared. Fitz has won more games with that TB defense than Alex could have.

Not sure if you've noticed, Washington is in first place with a depleted roster.. Tampa's receiving core is stacked. But if you are on the Fitz-magic bandwagon, more power to you. I respect him too, he's gritty. But no team in the league takes him over Smith.

For the record, Fitz >> Smiff in your book?

Edit
I didn't check your claim about stats, but did you verify that? Don't forget turnovers in your search.
