I worked high profile event security in college, most of the guys in there like me were former military, lots of bigger dudes meant to provide a visible deterrent but during our orientation the grizzled supervisor of security came in and said "look, your job is to be the eyes for us and our clients, you see it, you report it. If you want to go be Billy Badass, this is not the job for you, go be a financial liability for yourself and your employer elsewhere. You want to punch some guy out and hand over your next hundred paychecks to them, be my guest but they'll be coming from some other company."


Your job isn't to be a bouncer or to physically engage people in most cases, you report and then law enforcement shows up to handle things. You don't need to be some brawler for that, have a set of eyes and be able to use a phone/radio and you're good.

My educated guess is once the facts come out, the logical people will dismiss this as nothing and the people who get offended over everything will still have a problem with this.

He was helping her reposition? Pushing her closer to the water fountain? It might not be some major crime but its the sort of dick move you expect from someone with zero class.

Well he didn't push her down. He didn't knock over her wheelchair. It really depends on how serious the injury was/ how hard he pushed her. He went thru a 70 year old wheel chaired security guard. He may of bruised her just by walking by her.

Does anyone really believe this actually happened? If this actually happened the way the police are saying, and occurred at the Super Bowl (14 months ago), an event with a greater media presence than maybe any other, do you think that nobody would be aware of this until now? People in their 70s can't remember what they were doing 2 minutes ago, but we think this old hag remembered exactly what Bennett said?

There were four total witnesses. Grand jury proceedings don't just happen in a matter of days, in a large city like Houston its not unusual for the process to take up to a year if not longer.
