I think Kittle reminds me of Brent Jones! love the guy! he's our starter for sure. but graham would opens up the offense and lets us play with formations and confuse teams. it's about making it harder to scheme for us. With Graham everyone would expect a pass. It's really not about who is starting over who. It's about making us more diverse and confusing for other teams. I think Graham provides lots of options. He also gives us the jump ball size guy at WR that everyone is clamoring for! I would rather us keep the WR position fast built with a ton of sure handed fast route runners. I really think Landry, Goodwin, Taylor would be amazing. It would be like Taylor and Rice all over again. Garcon would be the veteran of the group. Even bringing in Landry doesn't mean Garcon will not play. Again it's about giving us options and providing the depth for Kyle to confuse teams.

Who just saw the gruden breakdown of Kelce in the Chiefs playoff game. We would get the same thing with Jimmy Graham. even if its just a decoy for garçon, Landry, Goodwin and Taylor to get open.

Kittles season numbers
43 Rec 515 Yards 12.0 YPC 2 TD
vs Jimmy Graham
57 Rec 520 Yards 9.1 YPC and 9 TD

I'm good with seeing how Kittles develops as Graham is going to be 32 next year and father time is slowing him down.

I totally agree!!! We can grab Graham and get him back into a high powered offense. I can only imagine how much he would open the field up for Goodwin and Taylor. Probably isn't that expensive as well. By all accounts he hates it in Seattle. Plus we can pull a Belichick and grab a division rival to our team for inside info. I'm sure Graham wants to get back to scoring touchdowns. Graham by all accounts isn't a locker room problem. Hard worker, great character, it gives Kyle a new Tony Gonzalez! PERFECT FIT imo!

Agree with you, although Graham scored 10 touchdowns this year. Jimmy to Jimmy!
Even better: it's Jimmy G to Jimmy G!

He's overrated now. Just a name. Can't stay on the field, lol kinda like a Foster. Nah but he's no where near what he was.
I don't think it's fair to say he's "just a name". Even with the dropoff in yards, he still had 10 TD this year (2nd in the NFL). He was practically an automatic touchdown in the red zone. Just isolate him with a CB by himself on an island and he's unguardable.

He really did not fit Seattle's scheme. Graham needs to be play in a finesse offense, not a ball-control, grind-it-out offense where he's asked to block all the time. I would be intrigued by bringing him in here -- especially because it means Seattle won't retain him. I would be very curious to see what Wilson's numbers looked like this year if not for Graham's 10 TDs. I bet many of their drives would've stagnated in the red zone if not for JG.

We have a lot of money to play with. I'm very intrigued by JG.
Why not??
it would be a low risk signing.

I would call him Jimmie red zone

I would like to have those 10tds. That's about point wise what we lost by all season
Jimmy Graham is going to get out of Seattle before they have to pay people to sit in those seats when the bandwagon hits the mud hole. But he isn't worth what it would take to sign him.

TDs are pretty random. 10 TDs off of 57 receptions isn't even remotely sustainable. It's a fluke. See: Julius Thomas.
Not worth the price tag especially the way Kittle looked. Even though we have big money would be wise to spend that for BIG TIME needs (edge rusher, CB and Oline)
I wouldn't mind spinning the tires on Graham as a te/WR hybrid for the right price for a few reasons.

1. After playing with Seattle for the past few seasons, it'd add some fuel to the rivalry and if he puts up better numbers it gives us another reason to say Russell Wilson sucks.

2. We need a red zone target who can win the jump ball and with his size, basketball skills, and reach combined with Garrapolo's touch and pin point accuracy, our red zone numbers would go up for sure. Fixes our biggest weakness.

3. Scheme flexibility. Teams will have to spend time game planning for him and might even have to include special defensive packages to ensure we don't exploit the size difference. Our goal line package could have kettle and Graham and juice out of the backfield making it a viable passing formation. You motion juice out of backfield and corner has to cover him leaving graham and kettle to work the safeties and linebackers.

4. His age. He's older and won't be a long term player. We have the short term cap space to take a chance. I think we may be able to get a bargain.
