What's the over/under on how many QBs he signs in the offseason? I think 3.5 and will take over
He is a good coach, worth another shot at the NFL. What failed him last time was him managing personnel. As a coach he was fine.

The shocking part is that it is a $100 million contract 10 year contract. Maybe it isn't as insane when looking at the details of the contract.

But it does make perfect sense that the Buccaneers don't want to continue the bidding war.

Was he? Tampa offensive ranks: 24, 10, 22, 23, 29, 18, 14. That is not good.
He won one Superbowl with a team Dungy built that already was a proven winner. After that win he went on to go 45-51, a losing record. 100 million over 10 years for that? And he hasn't coached in 10 years. At least it should be a little interesting to watch.
He's only 54 and Oakland-Las Vegas needed a splash. He's a good hire but at 10 years and 100 million?

And his win percentage is only .540 iirc. He's a good coach but he's not $100 million good.

Of the players he inherited, only Dunn and Alstott were studs, he had Brad Johnson as QB and Keyshawn as the deep threat...TB wasn't known for developing offensive stars or attracting many in FA

Gruden and Bruce Allen were reduced to signing washed up Raiders towards the end

This OAKteam is the best offensive talent Gruden has ever had.

The hire was to sell tickets. He's a celebrity coach. And the Raiders are moving to Las Vegas. It's entertainment, baby.

24th was good enough to win the super bowl.

I concur
Las Vegas aside - IMO, the hire is about keeping butts in the seats in Oakland.

With the new stadium in Las Vegas, now scheduled to open (June 2020) later
than previously planned … the question(s) asked to Mark Davis by investors,
had to be, how do we keep and recapture those fans now on the fence with
regard to renewing their season tickets ?

"I believe that given the right set of economics, the potential for a lease extension for
the time the Raiders would like to stay in Oakland is an open door," McKibben said.

I can't underscore enough the fact of 'given the appropriate economics.' It will not
be the deal that they currently have."

With an elite defense. Gruden then got rid of the guy who built that elite defense.

And then in all the time he was in Tampa he failed to find a legit QB of the future.
