A great defense? Oh, like maybe the Steelers? Who led the league in sacks last year. Cause...he kind of did. Hit the game winner to Pettis in the endzone. So................
These people are definitely on something. We aren't saying he's a great qb yet, and I stress yet. With some good pass protection and simply one receiver that's reliable as an outside threat in my opinion he will easily be top 5 to 10 closer to top five.
The amazing thing is he is so clutch under pressure especially on third and fourth downs and all he really has is George Kittle. He's making it work with wide receiver number 3's like Bourne and receivers that aren't good yet like Samuel. That says so much considering he's been getting pressured Almost as much as any quarterback in the league with no outlet receivers I can get separation consistently.
Whereas Russell Wilson may get pressure up the middle but he's got two excellent receivers he can throw it up to you and they come through for him. Again I'm not comparing him to the best quarterbacks in the league I'm comparing his situation and the lack of help around him.
