Josh had a better offense with Derek last year... and jimmy had fans hating Kyle.. It's not the coach

People actually thought that the Raiders would win more games and were getting an upgrade at QB

Most ppl saw it as a lateral move or downgrade. I posted on why Carr would get more than double, what JG got, in the FA market, before it happened. It was due to his durability.. and the football gods do work in mysterious ways, as oddly, Carr is now injured. JG I think is getting great protection, but he isn't getting the ball out, it's a lot of happy feet and he looks visibly panicked. His steadfast refusal to give up on any play is a lil irritating, I like it when the QB can get the ball out of his hands. If it's not there, just throw the ball away, as the Genius once said..

A big question is what is going on with Jacobs

It's just based on durability. That's all. The Raiders are not very good. But I believe Jimmy G will win some games. They won't lose them all.

my guess is that defenses are not scared of jimmys arm so jacobs is seeing more stacked boxes

at least carr was able to throw it deep

Garoppolo told the media on Wednesday that the Raiders' offensive scheme has a lot more pre-snap diagnosis than the 49ers and "a lot more work for the quarterback."
"You've really got to use your brain and be on it, but I love stuff like that," Garoppolo said, per the San Francisco Chronicle. "That's the game within the game, and you get to play it at the line of scrimmage. And when you're out there, man, it's fun."
------------
The notion that Kyle was holding Jimmy back was one of the more infuriating things I've seen posted on these forums. I remember resisting the temptation to argue about it. I think Jimmy is a functional QB when he can see it and throw it. Give him well defined reads and he can make the offense work. That's what Kyle did, he allowed Jimmy to think less and somehow Jimmy thought it was a bad thing.
welps, back to checkers Jimmy!

He's also brand new to that system. So you have to give it some time to work. He may get better in that system. Or they make some adjustments. A season is not written after 3 games and the Raiders are pretty bad quite frankly.
I picked the Raiders to win this week..lol. I like Jimmy..good qb but honestly plain as dry toast at times

He won't play this bad in every game. They will win some too. It's 1 game and they were behind and forcing things at the end. Kind of an over reaction by the Jimmy haters. The overall season is a better measure. Keep in mind the Raiders are worse than us so the record will be worse.

He's not brand new to the system, he spent three years with McDaniels as the OC in NE, but I get what you're saying. From what I've read, the scheme has a lot of option routes and it's critical that the QB and WRs are on the same page. That doesn't excuse some of the bonehead decisions I saw Jimmy make yesterday vs PIT, but it's a long season so we'll see if it improves.

It's a long season. I think he will get better. They won't lose all their games. At the end they were behind and forcing things. We have seen Jimmy is not great in those situations. If they are even or ahead they will win some games. Which is tough for the Raiders since they are bad. But he was never a great come from behind guy. He forces too much stuff in that situation.
if the raiders can build a great around jimmy and then replace him with an upgrade they will be a scary team.

I still like jimmy but it just makes me realize why we ran the offense the way we did with Jimmy. Kyle was protecting us and jimmy from himself. Lol he threw 4 picks last year in 12 games. Now he's thrown 6 in 3 games.

it isn't like that offense is bad. He has arguably the best WR and Top 3 RB in the league. A really solid slot receiver. His o line is alright. If he was on our team week 1, he wouldn't of been able to handle the pass rush as well as Brock did against the same defense.

im not here to knock Jimmy, just to say that I didn't realize how good of a job kyle was really doing as a coach. Jimmy is a good game manager but that's it, if your team makes any mistakes, the odds of you winning with him drops dramatically. He can't overcome tough situations and score a TD when you really need it.

There's only one way to go now, which is up lol

But yeah, the system is the same, just new faces. SD is wrong about them being bad. they have everything needed on offense and a defense who can get enough stops to win in a shootout

if there is anything that i could swap out from our team and the raiders.. would probably be OL (only if need to do a swap)
