They are defensively.

The Raiders are pretty bad. Not much chance there.

Their running game looks pretty putrid. They have no chance relying on Jimmy without it.
Maybe teams don't respect the qb and are playing the run. Sounds like our old life. He's got adams myers and jacobs. Not exactly talentless.

Chris Collinsworth is spending a lot of time trying to convince Jimmy G he needs to be a one read QB....no functional QB in the NFL can survive being a one read QB.

But he's right that when the first read is there he should usually take it.

Which was astutely pointed out all off-season by those that understand football.

They def have talent. Jacobs doesn't look like Jacobs yet though.

Aiden O'Connell's preseason probably seeming more and more enticing…

He's gonna be playing before seasons end

Yes I agree.

Yet my friend who is not a 49ers fan insists Jimmy G is far better than Brock Purdy and we made a mistake. He will ruin our team. How can you seriously watch the games and believe that?

You once called Jimmy a franchise QB, said to sign him to 10 years extension, and you thought we were gonna draft Pitts or OL when we moved up. You and your friend are perfect for each other

He's a pretty average player. Always has been.

Purdy is much better and I'm super glad to have Brock_Star. But before the injuries and a little younger Jimmy G was 5 - 0 for us at one time. He's not as horrible as some of the claims here. The hate is out of control for him. That's all I'm saying.

No I don't think Jimmy G is a franchise QB. Brock Purdy is though. We are better off with him. Jimmy is a decent guy who is injured a lot. But not great. Not as bad as the claims here though either. He was an upgrade for us at the time. Because we had nothing. I didn't think of him as a franchise QB or 10 years either.

he clearly is not irreplaceable....

Slightly above average, to slightly below average is probably a safe call depending on how he is doing week to week.

If you gave NFL teams the choice to pick up any QB in the league....odds are he is not a top 10 choice....maybe he ends up a top 15....so the word average would likely be attached to him....wether it is above average or below average the word great would not be attached to him.
Literally ZERO pocket presence.

I hope this helps give credit where credit is due......

Purdy statistically has some of the worst protection in the league and keeps the ball moving....
