I think you mean time-control,.... as all offenses in the NFL are "controlled" by time.
These things go hand-in-hand with having a good defense. You take a great defense away and you're trying to constantly score points, Shanahan offense or not.
Not sure why but it's been backwardly-thought by u and others that it's the QB that's actually the reason for the defense playing so well.
We will see what LV puts out there.

Haha. Kudos to them finding the perfect picture for it all.

More like a "run to the SB."

Jimmy Garoppolo won 70% of his games with the 49ers. He looks like absolute dog doo doo so far on the Raiders. Was Jimmy the real reason the 49ers won? Or was it the team?

He can't buy much of his own time or go off schedule. Those are some problems. But from a clean pocket with timing he's a good passer.
In NBA terminology, he is a good scorer when no one is near him

There are pocket guys who require a clean pocket to operate in NFL history. I don't think that's ridiculous or terrible. He will win more than the guy they had before. Assuming he can be healthy enough to play the whole season. His #1 problem is exactly that. Staying healthy. He's not a terrible QB. About middle tier or slightly above that if he can stay healthy. He wouldn't look great at a combine or in practice. But he's mostly a winner with a lot of injuries.

He doesn't choke when there is no pressure

I agree. He will win more than their last QB.

Short. Not intermediate. He's just ok there.
And short passes generally dont need "time."
They do need plays designed well if the offense is going to move the ball though.

I think Jimmy will put up better numbers than Carr, not sure he'll win much more considering how bad I think the Raiders are roster wise, but ultimately I don't judge QBs for winning/losing.
Which was the point I tried to make several pages back… and was called a hater for it.
LOL.
