Now that there is a sliver of hope that Jimmy comes back, they have to downplay it as a possibility. And if he does come back, they look foolish. If comes back and wins a playoff game or by some miracle the Super Bowl - they won't even be able to enjoy it.

This is the problem with creating mental traps for yourself like "Jimmy can't/won't/isn't capable/will never ______." Absolute statements like that create a situation where only one outcome is positive for you. In this case, it's Jimmy being hurt badly enough to not return. If that's not the case, then your pride/ego is hurt and your posts reflect that energy.

It doesn't matter to me (or any real Niner fan) who our QB is, I will root for whoever is taking snaps. But Jimmy has a great story here and has been a great teammate. If he's able to comeback and win a Super Bowl for this team it would be one of the great comeback stories of all time.

Sorry dude, gotta call b******t here. Show me one post where someone celebrated his injury.

Sucks to be Jimmy, apparently his time and opportunity as a 9er has ran out. The timing of his injury couldn't be more worse, especially the fact he is a FA as soon as the season ends. The 7-8 weeks is basically a none story.

Yah sucks to be Jimmy, walk into any club and take home the hottest chick there. Have $100 mil in your bank…..yah sucks to be him.

Bro he don't give a flying f**k what you think about him, while you're on your PC whining counting the days he's off the team.

Exactly, why it's basically a none story, his injury is bad timing as a FA, he's done for the season and basically as a 9er this time around.

Not exactly. Being Purdy's backup instead of Josh Johnson is some good for us. Don't even have to pay him much if any if I understand his contract correctly. Let's say Purdy goes down in the NFCCG or SB, who do would you rather... JJ or JG? Wait don't answer that actually...

We all get your point. You have now said the same thing in about a dozen posts. Your anti-Garoppolo bias is getting very old. Time for something new.
Brock is a lucky kid inheriting an offense full of probowlers and good players and KS calling plays with the #1 D poised for the playoffs, he can be the Savior and Hero for the season and even if he fails he tried as Mr. irrelevant, after both Trey and Jimmy goes down with season ending injury, what a story as compared to the 7-8 weeks none story that will most likely have no effect in anything substantial when this season concludes, Sunday was probably the last time we will ever see Jimmy in a 9er uniform ever again.
Excited we could get him back in the playoffs

There is nothing new, Brock is the new QB1, no other choice or better option, doubt anything changes until the end of the season.

Maybe he could use that hyperbaric deal TO used to heal his broken leg so that he could lose the Super Bowl.

They need to put him in the hyperbaric chamber 12 hours a day at least. He should sleep in it. We need him back in 5 - 6 weeks. No 7. He can do it. TO did it. We need to also.

You can't keep a GOOD MAN down. Jimmy G doesn't need surgery. He comes back and we go on a playoff run. I think Brock Purdy can beat Taylor Heineke or someone in the wild card. It can be one.

On another note see he was right. To get more excellent opinions. You guys just wanted people to start cutting on him.

If Jimmy G makes the Super Bowl they will make a Hollywood movie about him at this point.

I would rather have Jimmy as the backup than Josh Johnson. Jimmy should be pretty stationary anyway. Put lots of tape on it and have him as the backup starting the first game of the playoffs.

The Athletic gives us a 98% chance to make the playoffs with Purdy btw.

I believe Eason is before Johnson.. but if you have to tape it up that much.. why even risk it. Trey would be healthier by that time

We can be sure he'll hand off in the correct direction

Still don't know if the RB went the wrong direction. Purdy has a confidence that Jimmy doesn't.
