Drafting Trey was a mistake, will he be a good NFL QB? Maybe, I actually thought he showed some promise before his injury . But it's clear that this is Jimmy's team, and when he's healthy, the 49ers are a very hard team to beat. Could've used those picks that we gave up for Trey on players that would be contributing to wins now.

Hindsight is 20/20. Trey was drafted because Jimmy G couldn't stay healthy. Now that hes looking completely healed from his injuries of the past 2-3 seasons hes now making a case for himself as our QB going forward. Its obvious the guys love playing for Jimmy G.

Jimmy puts together a nice stretch of games where he plays like he is capable of playing and people are all surprised. I don't have any doubt at all if he throws a pick in the next game, whether it has any impact on the outcome or not, people will be back in here spending all of their time talking about that regardless of the final score. The point I and others have been trying to make for the past three years is that Jimmy is completely capable of playing this game at a pretty efficient and effective level, he just hasn't always managed to do it. Hopefully, after the disappointment of their last two Championship runs, the team will stay focused and bring it home this year. One thing that I think yesterday really demonstrated is that everyone has to do their job for the team to be successful. It's not always just about Jimmy. Go Niners!

The better he plays, the less likely he'll be resigned. He's going to want a record-setting QB contract and if you're truly a fan of him then you'd want him to get that money. We can't afford to do that.

Yeah I didn't agree with what they gave up to get Trey. If anything, they could have gotten a "serviceable" QB without trading the house. Its all worked out though so far. If, and I mean if, the 49ers decide to extend Jimmy I don't doubt another team would trade for Trey. There's gonna be a QB needy team out there that will trade for Trey if it comes down to that.

It's just wishful thinking @ this point.
Jimmy's not creating some unique advantage right now or anything. The roster is.

Restructuring will help and/or trading one of your stars. Look, if Trey didn't get hurt this year do you think we'd be where we are at today? I honestly don't think so. Just think if Trey starts next year, we'll probably take a step back for a year on a loaded offensive roster so he can "learn". We were semi-loaded before Trey got hurt, but we are completely loaded now with the addition of Mccaffrey. On plays where Jimmy checks out of a play into another, Trey is not going to learn that in an off season.

Yeah im a 49ers fan bro. Lol. I can care less how much money he gets from another team. If the best option for this teams future is Jimmy at QB then thats what I want.

He's the first to touch the ball on every offensive play. He decides who to throw to and he decides if the play they are in needs to be changed at the line of scrimmage. I'd say thats some sort of an advantage compared to most other teams

Yes, I do. We didn't really get a chance to see what Trey was going to be this year, but I don't think he would need to do a lot for us to be successful.
The offense, despite being one of the league's most talented, has struggled most of the season and we've been carried by the defense. Jimmy is playing better than he has before, but that has a lot to do with the o-line being a top-10 unit and having CMC, Deebo, Aiyuk, and Kittle to throw to.

Jimmy G has as many TDs tonight (4) as Zach Wilson does this season.

Also Garoppolo has twice as many passing TD's as Russell Wilson this season.
