Me too. It still hasn't totally sunk in that Jimmy G is this good. We have a top QB in the league.

Agreed. Spit out my coffee the day the trade announcement was made. Loving everything about it.
you're a late coffee drinker huh

i had whiplash after doing a double take on the Monday Night Pregame show ticker

Was in the military (just recently retired). Coffee was 24/7 for me.
Thanks for your service and get some rest

Is too late. The Jimmy G movement has already started, be it from the fans, the media and even his teammates. You can't rein it back in now. People believe in Jimmy G and they can't get enough of him.

Are you suggesting Kyle should just give an executive order to tank for the draft this week?? LOL. That will never happen. He will lose the locker room right away. LOL.

In short, Jimmy G is a phenom and a slightly higher draft pick won't be enough of a reason to keep him down.

This. At this point you go out there and regardless if the Rams are going all out or resting guys, you unload both barrels into them and let the chips fall where they may.

If you lose, you lose playing your ass off. If you win, well you go into the offseason on an uninterrupted winning streak and a ton of hype to lure free agents in with.

It's so old. Jimmy G will sign long term. When he does those here that hate Jed will continue to argue about how we will find a way to mess It up. Then they'll disappear until they can find something else to complain about. It's useless if your a pessimist once you're a pessimist always. Just try to enjoy some of the hype before the off-season.

How that cap space gets allocated is up to lynch/shanny/Paraag that's their job.

Good point. It isn't like the Yorks can put this money into bitcoin instead of spending it on players. They either spend it or they lose the option to spend it.

The Yorks do benefit if they spend it on good players who put butts in the seats. Good players like Jimmy G. When they do that, those people are so overjoyed they spend a lot on over-priced beer and hot dogs that have very high profit margins built in.

Exactly

San Mateo kid likes Jimmy.

IF the niners are stupid enough to go Kirk Cousins on Jimmy they will chase him out. They need to lock him up for a decade. what else does this dude have to show you? We have been searching for Steve Youngs successor forever and now we have a dude who can seemingly do it all. LOCK HIM UP. Garcia was good but limited, Alex was a good game manager who got the worst situation any QB has ever seen and was ruined, Kap had the benefit of Harbaugh making him look great when we had a squad but got thrown under the bus and chased out of town shortly after Harbaugh was betrayed. We now have a genius OC/HC, a GM who actually cares and knows his s**t, an owner who realized he f**ked up and needs to stay ready with his checkbook and leave the football ops to the pros and an amazing young QB who was just mentored by one fo the greatest coaches ever and one of the greatest QBs of all time. DO NOT f**k THIS UP. PAY THE MAN

Bingo ...Bango....Bongo. Just think of the FAs that remember the doormat team, 0-9, win one, then 2 games later jimmy comes on board and they run the table...that is the NFL's greatest ad ever for FAs, esp since they all know where the money is. To have a FR QB who can do no wrong....heck even if we lose last one, going all out....FAs dig that schid and they know a winner, despite the record. It is not the finish...but the way we finish that matters. And any FA worth his salt isn't unaware of the JimmyG 49ers...and what they have made out of virtually NADA. They also know there is a hotshot GM and the best OC out there. Pretty good HC the last few games, one could add.

They don't lose the option to spend it, they lose the option to spend it on players...Jed can still spend it on his cabana.

They have been cheapskates the past few years.

Concise. True. Spot on. Ditto. Do NOT fcku this up. Let Lynch handle this, and no chintzing . Quality merchandise here, worth the entire farm. Spend it on the guy we have been looking for the last 22 yrs. This is the one guy who makes this franchise. Make this offer look real good 2-3 yrs from now. We won't regret it. And in 2020 it will be a bargain...not in just the monetary sense, but in the Lombardi trophy sense. How bad do you want one Jed? Just tell your boys...."sign the damn contract. I don't care if it costs $30 mil per. Do it!"

there really wasnt any reason to splurge last year when we knew we would suck this year. we just made a freak move to secure a badass QB this year, if it wasnt for Lynch trying to trade for Brady and getting Grapp instead we would still be in s**tsville waiting for a rookie savior next year. now we need to lock up jimmy and get him some shiny new toys to throw to and we are back baby
Surgical against the best defense in the league. Still can't believe it.
