Relax bro, I think you are getting all worked up over nothing. A deal is going to get done. Never a better time than now, for both sides. Sign him to a 5 year deal so that he is tied to the hip with Shanny and Lynch. Then Shanny and JG can hatch their plot to rule the world.

I know a deal will get done I just think it will be after next season when we can make him the highest paid ever and no one blinks an eye at it. Right now his agent has to be licking his chops knowing he can pin us against the franchise tags.

You would not be a good agent

Nah pay him now!!!!!!

Seriously, what do you need to see. He's doing everything you want, and the only way to bungle this is to let him get away. I would have agreed with you before today's performance. Now there are no excuses.

can he win a playoff game in the frozen tundra with no sleeves on, or even in Seattle with noise louder than a jet engine?

Of course he can.

He can't even lose

Lit up the best defense in NFL for 44 points

Broke the record for most yards in 1st 4 starts for a team , and that was Kurt Warner with the greatest show on turf!!!!
I can see this offense going in that direction. I bet in a year or two it will be the NFL's version of Steve Kerr's fast break offense. I think Jimmy has loads more talent than Kurt Warner. Definitely more mobile than him, in my opinion. If Kurt Warner had a defense, they'd have had 3 Lombardi's. I think Kyle's a ton better than Mike Martz as an OC. Kyle's not going to hang out his QB to dry, the way Martz did. Here's to Jimmy and his soon to be Greatest show on Turf 2.0 offense!

It is your narrative, and you are sticking to it I disagree, and I think getting franchised is a huge risk against future earnings. Jimmy and his agent don't have all the leverage here. And the topper is, I think he wants to be here over any team in the NFL. He knows an offensive coach like Shanahan is a big part of him being successful, and is more an exception than the rule. And lastly, if he gets all the money his supporting cast will suffer. He deserves his first ludicrous pay day, but I just have a feeling he won't want to hold this team hostage. It is not mutually beneficial to the ultimate goal ... winning the big one.

The team has 130 million in cap space we're not going to be able to talk his agent down by saying we need that $ elsewhere. Daniel Snyder couldn't blow that much $.

I'm sure he does want to be here and his agent will say so pay him top dollar and that will happen.

I'd definitely spend $250 on that custom jersey. Lulz
The 49ers improved to 6–10, but more importantly, Walsh had them making great strides and they were getting better every week.

1981 championship....

Can we beat the rams next week and get to 6-10...
Just sayin
5 years, $140M

Tell that to Cousins. When it's all said and done 140 mil in guaranteed $ never won a playoff game.

Compare that to Kap who took the deal and walked out with 38 mil. Peanuts.

Always bet on yourself.

I see one of Two scenarios that gonna play out here..

Your either right, they franchise Jimmy..
or your wrong and they don't..

Hopefully now you can sleep better tonight knowing that it will be at least one of the two scenarios your hammering about cause I can see this it eatin you up tonight

Nick names have been around in sports for a long long time. They are earned though not forced.
