They all* settled civil cases. No criminal cases or proof (says Watsons attorney's). Some will say this was a retaliation by Buzbee the owners neighbor to get even for Watson wanting to leave the team.
Watson gets a massive guaranteed contract, he wins no matter what. Lynch still loses because he could have had Mahomes or Watson instead of drafting Solomon Thomas.

6 games is way too few. He deserved to be suspended for a full season. On the other hand, when hasn't the NFL managed to protect it's money makers.

Regardless of the optics, it doesn't makes sense for the browns to pursue Jimmy now. If it was 9+ games (more than half the season), maybe. But since it's 6 games, the cost of Jimmy wouldn't outweigh the difference in wins with Jimmy vs other options the Browns have.
