On what Trey is after a year and a half.
"I'm around him every day and I feel really good about what I think we have, but the answer is I don't even know."
Lynch
This front office likes to keep their good young players grounded. Just say Lance is looking good and that he has work to do, which is basically what Lynch said. The flip side would be to say something like, "he's going to be great, just watch" - that doesn't help anything.

No team is going to take on Jimmy's contract - I don't see a trade happening.
1. Trade him: Get a pick in return, most likely day 3 pick next year and have to eat some of his salary. Unlikely to trade unless another team's QB goes down or we eat some of his contract.
2. Release him: Get zero draft picks back but his salary is off the books after he gets healthy.
3. Keep him: Stays on roster in 2022 and goes elsewhere in FA resulting in a comp pick of unknown round. If he got a big contract as a starter (unlikely) it would maybe get us a 3rd round comp pick. If he competes for a starter job, likely day 3 comp pick.

Crazy talk. They haven't even named a starter yet. 🤣🤣🤣
Hence the laughing emojis.
You have already set trey back a year. we have also seen what jimmy can not do. and again.... it is dumb... dumb for a nfl organization to have this much money tied up in back up quarterbacks. remove jimmy at whatever cost.. get rid of the 27 million dollar anchor around our necks. you give the ball to trey . if he struggles against nate and purdy. well that is a topic for another day and not worth discussing now. not one good reason for jimmy to be on this team. whatever time frame works out best for our financial house in regards to cutting jimmy do it... between the shoulder and his under deserving salary.... no one wants him.

He learned the durability straight from Jimmy himself.

If Beathard is out for the season, could the Jags be a possible trade partner for Jimmy? A veteran backup would be good for Lawrence.

They actually came close but still said they have no clue what Trey is after a year and a half.![]()

Garoppolo has been rehabbing from shoulder surgery away from the facility as San Francisco explores trade options, and that will continue.

Flat out lie. Lynch just said—again—they love him, believe they know what they have in him, and the only qualifications he gave was that Trey had to do it in the regular season and post-season.

Many injuries are going to happen and there will be teams that get desperate. Jimmy's contract looks terrible right now but when a playoff team that just needs a QB due to injury, Jimmy's scenario will be ideal. A one year rental with ample playoff experience with no commitment afterwards will be highly sought after.

That isn't "no clue," Mr. Jimmy Simp. Read it in the context of everything else he said. It means UNTIL LANCE DOES IT WHEN IT COUNTS, no one knows for sure. That doesn't mean they are clueless about what he is, and the fact that expect people believe that they are is just laughable. You really think the 49ers are that dumb, to "have no clue" about a player they've scouted and watched so thoroughly in practice and in games?
