Wow! Great video. *if* he is able to keep the game close, I think what this guy said in the video will still comes about. But yeah, **if** he wins, it's going to be a madhouse here in SF.
You know what is interesting about this game? All eyes are on the Jimmy G hype, but potentially Carlos Hyde could well be the guy who can help us win this game.
Why? The Jags are both No.1 in Total D and Passing D, but for some reason they only rank 19th in Run D. If Carlos Hyde could go off, that would definitely help to open up the pass game.
But, if we can't run the ball, we could well be in for a long afternoon. Imagine the combination between that pass rush and their back end? Let me throw some numbers at you so we can all be mentally prepared:
- Calais Campbell - 14.5 sacks
- Yannick Ngakoue - 11 sacks
- Malik Jackson - 8 sacks
- Dante Fowler - 7.5 sacks
- AJ Bouye - 6 INTs
- Tashaun Gipson - 4 INTs
- Jalen Ramsey - 4 INTs
- Barry Church - 3 INTs
- Telvin Smith - 3 INTs
In 2011 we had one of the best defenses in the NFL and Breese took us to the 4rd QTR in the playoffs for us to beat him, and that was with Game Manager Alex Smith as QB. So I'm thinking if Jimmy GQ can do something similar against that number 1 Jag defense like Breese, it will be very hard for me not to start comparing him with our past QB legends.
Oh bro, our 2011 D and the Jags' D aren't even close. You need to think of this Jags' D like the best Seahawks'D in 2012, even then this Jag's D might be better, at least with their front 7. Our D in 2011 even as good as we were, we were never good in pass rushing as we were in a 3-4 scheme. You need to digest those numbers again, if I am not wrong the Jags' D have over 50 sacks to date, that basically translates into total dominance at the line.
I have not watched any film or tape on the games they lost, like to the Jets and the Cards. I suspect they didn't lose those games because of their D, but rather on Blake Bortles before he took off. That reminds me, Blake Bortles is balling right now. I heard some crazy stat, if I am not wrong out of the past 7 offensive drives, Bortles was able to score a TD in 6 of them. I need to reconfirm on that one, I heard it on one of the clips. But, if is true, that, my friend, is no joke.
Our 2011 team led the league in takeaways I believe. This Jaguar defense is killing it all around. If we win this game,
